Ft Pierce Utilities Authority invites Joyce Leiphon?

Just another way to become acceptable to the community of Ft Pierce, Florida.  This kind of theatrics is something only Joyce Leiphon could pull off.  Yes the prayer is short, simple and to the point.  Yet, it seems she's using her prior contacts in law enforcement to promote herself again.  Check the link and see, yes she still has some pull over the Ft Pierce, St Lucie County Flordia area. If I didn't know her and her agenda, I'd go to her church and see what was going on.  If the city of Ft Pierce would invite her to pray over their meetings, can she be all that bad?  (hint.....go to her church and then get caught in the web of deception)

Here's the link.  http://fortpiercefl.swagit.com/play/08212012-597

She forgot to say, "MONEY COMETH to ME NOW!"

  2. Trust me, everything you have read on this post about Joyce Leiphon is true. She has divorced 5 husbands, is running a religious cult, and it's all about MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. This so-called pastor is the biggest hypocrit who ever drew a breath.

  4. How long has she been preaching this money thing do any of you Know. Doesn't she know that Paul the Great apostle wrote in the bible if you focus in on anything other the Jesus and HIm Crucified you are preaching another gospel and are accursed? Wonder if she reads the other parts of the bible that tell what will happen to false teachers?

  5. I don't know exactly how long she's been preaching the money thing. She apparently has been a pastor for quite a number of years, and the many people who have known her over a long period of time have seen her show her ass plenty of times by bragging about what a good Christian she isand could not possibly do any wrong, while telling everyone else that they were sinners and going to Hell.

  6. according to what my Bible says no one will attain perfection in this life. IF anyone say they do not sin they are liars. For we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Even Paul prayed and asked God the take the thorn in his side away but God told him His grace was all he needed. What I understand from this is God allow even the Great apostle Paul to be buffeted by Satan in order to keep him from becoming puffed up with Pride as so many preachers are today.

  7. This is a repost thought it was worth reposting
I will have to say this. In these post I never intended to speak against Joyce's character. I know her well she is my natural born sister. I love her. I am praying for her and I am apologizing to her and everyone reading these post for the things I have said about her character. However, I am still saying and will continue to say. She is teaching a false gospel. She is preaching that Jesus did not do enough at the cross to give you all the Blessings. YOur blessing come from a personal relationship with the LORD JESUS. { HE has to be your LORD} There is nothing we can do to receive from God the Father except to go through Jesus. You can quote scripture until the cows come home but unless you are truly born again seeking the things of God and not the things of this world you will never receive the truth. The truth is and has always been WE received it all when Jesus Christ willing obeyed the Father and died on the cross raised from the dead after three days and night and ascended into heaven. Nailing our sins past present and future to the cross raised us with him. Jesus is our only mediator between me and my God and Father. Read the first two chapters 1Cor. it tells us each and everyone one of us the truth. Even Paul preach this. He was truly called of God. We do not give to get from God.
I did add a statment of two.

  8. The prosperity gospel and Word-Faith movement are a damnable lie because Gods blessing is not measurable by a persons physical prosperity. Times of difficulty and trials in our life add depth to our relationship with God, because in those times either you are truly relying on Him and not to our own understanding or if you have fallen prey to the Prosperity Gospel and Word of Faith movement you are cursing God when trials come and showing you never really trusted Him in the first place…you just wanted more stuff.

  9. I looked at the thing on the left side stating FREEDOM FROM WOLFS. Great site. Some ex-word of faith teacher coming out against this doctrine. The Money cometh to me now is also part of this false teaching. I am praying for all who are following this and other false teacher. I have made several family members angry for posting the truth on this site. I have been told even if what I am saying is true I have no right to post it or ever say it. Well this is my answer to anyone who thinks I should keep my mouth shut about false teacher no matter who they are. As a believe In Jesus Christ and him Crucified for the sin of all me. It is my duty and all believers duty to contend for the Faith of OUR LORD and Savior. We are not to defend anyone who is not preaching the truth of God word. No where in the bible does it say we give to get from God> He freely gives to those who are HIS. He does not charge us one red dime. He died for us while we were yet still sinners. the LORD stands at the door and is knocking will you let him in or will you choose to follow into the wide gate.

  10. JFCecil, don't worry about what your family says or thinks. They are in denial. They really know how Joyce is but don't want to face that fact. Even though they would probably never admit it, they know that one day her greed is going to catch up with her. When they say that you should never post it or say it, they are shooting themself in the foot, so to speak, because they know in truth they are defending and supporting something that is not right. Good for you, girl!

  11. If Leiphon is using prior contacts in law enforcement to promote herself again, they definitely need to be made aware of her current goings-on with all of this "Money Cometh" crap. This woman clearly fell through the cracks and should NEVER have gotten into law enforcement to begin with, with her delusional beliefs and now cult behavior. She was more than likely able to charm her way into law enforcement as it is extremely easy for sociopaths to pass polygraphs and convince even seasoned detectives of anything. Thank God she is no longer a law enforcement officer.

  12. I challenge every one following Joyce Leiphon to google ex word of faith pastors. Then tell me you can stay in a cult like this. you can not continue to support the doctrine of devils. you just may receive the freedom you have been looking for. I would also be willing to say there are some who no longer believe what Joyce is telling you but are afraid to leave as you do not want to be treated as some who have left. When you do leave call Bill Shaw He can explain a lot to you. Hey Bill I hope you don't mind getting a lot of phone calls. I know how busy you are. Praise god there are still real Ministers of the gospel of our LORD Jesus Christ who are not afraid to speak the truth about Word of faith doctrine and also about the money

  13. While reading in the book of Jeremiah chapters 23,24,25 and other old Testament prophets I realized that God placed Prophets to warn Israel against false prophet. He placed these prophets there as " Watchmen" over the house of Israel. Today he has done the same to HIS people those who are called by his name. However, as I see this nation fall just as the nation of Israel fall because of the idolatry I have to ask, are we not going down the same path as Israel of OLD. Are we not worshiping our idols. What are our idols today? Could it be our preacher, our self, our goodness, how about our wealth. What is the thing you focus most in your daily life. Do you meditate on what Jesus Christ Did on the Cross of Calvary? Do you Believe what he said on the cross? or is there still something you have to do to prove you are one of HIS. Are you rejecting the truth of the Word of God in order to show yourself perfect? Choose this day who you will worship!! The creator of all or the created being called self? Can you admit that you could be wrong in what you believe? I can be wrong in all that I believe except that Jesus Christ and HIM Crucified is my answer to all my needs both spiritually and physically.

  14. found this in the internet I believe if you really want the truth about word of faith and the greed gospel you will search out the truth.

n 1 Timothy 6:6-11, the apostle Paul writes:
Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.
But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

Paul's own testimony gives us a vivid picture of true faithfulness and blessedness: "I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need" (Philippians 4:11-12).

Clearly, contentment is a great virtue, especially in times of suffering and poverty. In fact, this is the consistent teaching of Scripture from beginning to end: God's blessing is not measurable by a person's material prosperity. True biblical prosperity is about spiritual health, joy in the Lord, rewards in heaven, and grace in the midst of earthly sufferings. True prosperity has nothing whatsoever to do with material wealth or an abundance of worldly riches. In fact, those things are often hindrances to spiritual blessings.

The wicked often prosper materially, while truly godly people suffer. "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (2 Timothy 3:12-13). Christ himself suffered, "leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps" (1 Peter 2:21).

All of that flatly contradicts the message of the Prosperity Gospel—the so-called "Word of Faith" movement. Word-of-Faith teachers insist that worldly wealth, physical health, and material prosperity are the ultimate gauge of how blessed you are by God.

Furthermore, they say, you yourself are the one who ultimately determines how much or how little of God's blessings you enjoy. You can manipulate God with your words. You have it within the power of your own heart to summon enough faith to claim whatever blessing you want. And if you are not materially prosperous; if you are sick; if you suffer in any way, you are the one to blame because you didn't have enough "faith" in your own ability to create a new reality by making a positive confession. You didn't claim your own dream by faith.

That is a lie from the pit of hell. In John MacArthur's words, the prosperity gospel "is no different from the lowest human religions—a form of voodoo where God can be coerced, cajoled, manipulated, controlled, and exploited for the Christian's own ends." It is rooted in greed. It glorifies the sinner at the expense of Christ. It fosters unbelief and spiritual defeat rather than genuine trust in God and triumph in Christ. It makes faith into a formula for manipulating God, rather than a humble, repentant trust in him.

In fact, Word-of-Faith doctrine flatly contradicts everything Scripture says about faith and the promises of God; about suffering and prosperity; about contentment and covetousness; about the work of Christ and the depravity of fallen humanity. It is the religion of mammon-worship; it is not the way of the cross. In short, it is a false gospel—meaning it is no gospel at all. It is a damning and damnable lie, and those who follow such a false and materialistic religion are on the broad road that leads to destruction.

  15. reading all that has been written about this preacher on this blog it makes me wonder if anyone following her teaching is truly seeking the LORD. I mean preachers are saying all kinds of off the wall junk and people fall for their lies everyday of the week. I say leave them alone to the destruction that they choose. It does appear to me they all want money and not the ways of the LORD. They should be very in their next life if the do not repent. They would not be able to stand the Presence of the LORD in heaven. Oh and they won't be needing all their money there either

  16. I am confused as to exactly what is going on in this church. First of all, I totally understand the cult aspect of it, where Joyce Leiphon forbids communication with anyone who does not agree with her teachings on money, and that she tells her followers that they are worshiping the devil or will get cancer if they don't give her enough money or if they speak against her. I understand the cult aspect of it completely. But the financial aspect is what is very confusing and perhaps someone can enlighten me. At first I thought that Leiphon was ripping all of her followers off by telling them that they would get rich by giving her a lot of money, but then keeping it all for herself. My question is: are all of her current followers somehow doing something deceptive and getting rich too? If so,exactly what are they doing to come into all this money?

    ReplyDelete
  17. This may answer your question about deception. This is from a former member of this group.

I was not aware of any one doing anything deceptive. The money came from people working two jobs, and mainly going without. That's what we did. I put off paying my vendors in my business first it was 30,then 60, until it became 90 days. We basically poured our money into her for her anointing etc. If we had a choice to go out and have a nice dinner or "sow" into Joyce, we chose her. I remember many times in heated discussion with my wife about our money problems. She handled the money and check book and really knew how bad things were for us, but we were so brainwashed into giving until it hurts.

It doesn't take but a few families to pull this off and live quite well as Joyce does. It took me almost a year to catch up in all our bills after we left Joyce, we took care of our family as we are instructed to do, gave as we were lead, and now we're much better off than before. Praise God!!!

  18. What are you hoping for with all the wealth you can gain in this life. Are you trading eternal salvation for wealth.

Christians hope in eternal security, and God would have us give up "carnal security" to get it. The flesh wants the security of money. It wants to be in control, to be master, to "be god". So we dream of and cling to money because we don't want to be totally dependent on God...
Job 31:24-25,28 (NIV) [Job:] "If I have put my trust in gold or said to pure gold, 'You are my security,' if I have rejoiced over my great wealth, the fortune my hands had gained... then these also would be sins to be judged, for I would have been unfaithful to God on high."

  19. Thank you very much for your answer (the person who was a former member of LOTWC). Yes, Praise God that you are better off now. Possibly I did not make myself clear with my question. We all know how Joyce has gotten rich. But my question is: exactly what have her current followers done that they are now all rich just like Joyce?

    1. I know for a fact that they are not rich, they have less now than what they had at the beginning, I am a blood relative of some members there. :-(

  20. Do you know for a fact that they are rich like Joyce. I would be willing to say that she teaches them to spend as though they are rich even if they are struggling to make ends meet. I know of a couple who follow her and I can tell you they are a long way from being rich. One cannot even afford to live on her own as she give so much to Joyce. So I just don't see any of them being rich. i know another who gives to Joyce and Leroy in order to become rich and both of the have been giving for years still they are not rich. Joyce even told my daughters they were not to shop at walmart or Goodwill. You are supposed to live as though you have already received your money that way your faith will bring the money in. They are lying to you if they are telling you they have become rich following Joyce. You see they are not allowed to say anything else as it would not be a positive confession. IF they tell you they aren't rich yet then they will not get their money back 100 fold. I hope that answers your question. I have dealt with this for years. Joyce knows better she knows she is lying to the people. It is call control. actually it is witchcraft. its all lies

  21. Thank you JFCecil for your answer. No, I don't know for a fact that all of Joyce's church members are rich like her. I have just read bits and pieces on this blog, comments such as "those at the top getting rich" etc. So I just assumed that somehow, someway, there might be at least a few in her church getting rich thru some means. I guess the bottom line is that many of us have wondered, if these people are not getting rich, as promised by Joyce, then why in the world do they continue to stay with her and follow her BS?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have it first hand from a former member of this group that they got involved with Joyce Leiphon because they believed they were serving God. Some of her teaching was right with the Word of God meaning it sounded right any way. But after a while they began to see that things just didn't seem to add up. they did not help anyone who needed help or even reached out to help the community like most churches do. then they realize they had been brainwashed into believing as long as they continued to give money they would become rich. They admitted to me that at first they followed Joyce because they thought she was preaching the truth. When they realize it was their own greed the reason the kept giving they left. So I would say it is out of greed that they continue to keep giving. I hope this answered your question if not tell me and I will get the answer you need.

  23. I thought the reason for a church was to preach the good news of the LORD Jesus Christ and what he did on the Cross for all men. That He ( Jesus Christ) paid the sin offering for all men. Without Christ shed Blood we all deserve to be lost. Will the riches of the world get the door to heaven open to you. My understanding of the Truth of the Word of God is that Jesus Christ is the only door. He is the truth the life and the Way. By no other door shall anyone enter into eternal life.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I believe to many preachers today do not care about preaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ that while we were still sinner He ( Jesus Christ) died for all men. HE did not set aside some to get saved or only die for the few. HE died for all men. When you no longer preach the true Gospel souls are lost not saved. Matthew 20 you can read that he said no one is to have spiritual authority over you. We are all on the same boat. We can choose to follow man as so many in the Word of Faith and money cometh doctrine do or you can choose to follow Christ. Jesus is free it doesn't cost one penny to be one of HIS. He gave His life's blood free of charge. he gave His life so we all could be freed from the LAW of sin and death.

  25. Have you who follow Joyce Leiphon who claims that she and her daughter are in the Royal Family ever thought " What if a member of the Royal Family is wrong? If you have you need to be reading the Word of God for yourself. You see there is only one God with three Divine persons. This is the only Royal Family!! God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit!!! there is no other. Anyone who claims to be a member of the Royal family they in fact are claiming to be god. That is a lie from the pit of hell.. Has Joyce asked you to pray Matthew 6:33 where it says " seek ye first the kingdom of God and His Righteous and all these things will be given to you". Does she ask you to put her name there instead of Seeking God you seek her righteous and she will add all this to you. You are in danger of losing you soul if you are following anyone who believe they have become " Him" as this preacher claims. Run for your life.

  26. does any of these people following Joyce Leiphon ever read the Word of God in context? I cannot for life of me understand how anyone could believe Joyce has become a god of any kind. The Word of God clearly states there is only One God and it is not Joyce Leiphon. I wonder if she has rewritten the Scripture in order that she may be your God. Joyce has sold her soul to the Devil for money is this what you want. Do you want to sell your soul to the devil so you can be a member of the Royal family as she states she is? She is a member of the royal family alright. the family of the devil. She is leading all of you to his kingdom not the Kingdom of God.

  28. The Blessing of Abraham, from Rom.4 and Gal.3 JUSTIFICATION BY FAITH.Not that we have to work to get it prayer, fasting giving money etc. Luke 12:29-32 And do seek what you shall eat, and what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying. For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you.Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom.Since this is for every believer to meet our every need for life will not tell were and to who we are to give.Since He has given us everything, do we now earn everything for Him by works, that the faith pastors and teachers say.Make them rich so you can now become rich. Also become HIM and little gods.(nothing but witchcraft) Read each chapter or the whole book and ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT THE TEACHER TO SHOW YOU THE TRUTH.Oh by the way Peter,John,Paul never claimed to THE ROYAL FAMILY, if they never claimed to be a part of it how can anyone else. Everyone comes to Jesus a sinner at the foot of the CROSS.Then all children of God any other Gospel a different Jesus.

  30. While I was in the Word of Faith false doctrine I remember the Preacher always was quoting out of the old Testament. Deut 28 was their favorite the verses being from verse one through 14. IT says if you obey the voice of the LORD you will be blessed. ( this always pertain to you giving your money to the preacher). The rest of the chapter says you will be cursed by God it you do not obey His voice. These word of faith preacher are telling you how much to give when to give and most of they are telling you that if you do not obey what they say God cannot bless you. These preacher are not the Voice of the LORD. IF we could obey the Law ( law of Moses or any other law self imposed) which this scripture is talking about there would have been no need for Jesus Christ to be born or to die for the sins of men. When we become believers in what Jesus Did on the Cross we become as 1 Peter 2:9. We all who have a relationship with Jesus Christ have become a chosen Generation a Royal Priesthood. All!!!! not just some. you have to have a real relationship with Jesus not just by your words but my the fact your life style has change. No longer about you and your wants and desires but What the LORD wants. I have found over the years that when you are truly sold out to Jesus Christ he changes your desires. If you have always wanted wealth and power and fame that is no longer important. Why because you start praying that none be lost just as Jesus prayed and asked the Father that he lose none that the Father had given him. My prayer is always Father in Jesus name I ask that none of my family be lost. I ask you Lord to change the hearts of all who read these blogs to be able to see it is all about you and not any of us. That none be lost due to false teaching. We are all responsible for ourselves according to the Word of God. We are to search the Scripture not depend on a preacher to tell us what it says. Jesus Christ sent back the HOLY SPIRIT to lead and guide us in all that is true. If in fact you are one of His. You decide this day who you will follow. Man or the LORD JESUS CHRIST. You can't do both. Also Isa 42: 8 Says I am the LORD that is MY name and My glory I will not give to another.

  31. The royal family. Well Joyce believe she and her daughter have passed into the kingdom age and now already has the glorified body. She truly believe she is God. she has bought the same lie that Eve bought in the Garden of Eden. When you place yourself or any created thing or being on the throne of God you become and Idol worshiper. You are not one of HIS. Joyce chose to think more of herself then she should. Joyce has always been this way. There has been not change in her life style even though she profess Jesus Christ she is not one of his. Some of her sister will agree with her that I am not telling the truth however God knows the one that is the liar. Let him be the Judge. I the mean time I suggest that all who are reading this blog search the Scripture for the Truth. Seeking God and not man

you state that it we have justification by faith. Is believing in Jesus what justifies me. Abraham was justified by the law right? So we don't have to do anything to get justified? From what I understand you are saying that I don't have to do anything to be justified right?

  33. The answer to justification by faith. In the book of Romans chapter 5 states it plainly verse one,Therefore having been justified by faith,we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.(9) Much more then, having now been justified by his blood,we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.I will let you read this chapter and hope that you read the whole book of Romans, and let The Holy Spirit show you, that it is what we believe about Jesus and the FINISHED WORK AT THE CROSS that set us free not about keeping any kind of Law.Rom.6:23 For then wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Chapter 4 deals with Abraham(3)For what does the Scripture say?"And Abraham Believed God, And it Was reckoned To Him As Righteousness."By the grace of God and free gift we receive, the saving faith that brings us into a relationship with God. Not like the world that believes there is a God but does not Know Him.

  34. I was just wondering if any of Joyce Leiphon followers ever read the 23 Chapter of Matthew. "The Scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses seat. Therefore whatever they tell you to observe that observe and do but do not do according to their works: for they say and do not do 4. For they bind heavy burdens hard to bear and lay them on the men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
6 They love the best places at the feasts the best seats in the synagogues.
read the whole chapter for yourself.
They have to be looked on as someone special. However, even the Apostles did not look for the best to be given to them they called themselves bond servants of the LORD. What in Gods name give Joyce Leiphon or any other preacher the right to think the deserve to be treated as though they are above even the Apostles. Or Jesus Christ for that matter. Jesus called them snakes, Hyporcrites,Blind guides leading the blind. He even called them fools. Jesus give a great warning to them all even the one now who claim to be so perfect the gates of hell are waiting for them if they do not repent. Read it for yourself. Who do you place your trust in Jesus Christ or your pastor

  35. from reading the posts of this blog it truly make me realize how blessed I am. MY pastor teaches the truth of the Word of God. It isn't about me or him or any other person. HE doesn't demand anything from the church except to develop a real relationship with Jesus the one who gave his life's blood for me. If this pastor Joyce Leiphon is telling you that she is a member or the royal family now in this life I wonder what spirit is she listening to. The LORD Jesus Christ said those who believe in him will be persecuted for HIS name sake. This preacher seems to be someone that likes to confuse the people so they do not ever listen to another and find the truth. She sure isn't preaching it. God Don't want your money He doesn't need any thing from us. He only wants you just to surrender to the Lord not to some man.

  36. "Are Christians 'little gods'?"

Answer: What has been popularly termed the “little god controversy” originated with Word of Faith pastors and teachers. The basic idea behind the controversy is that humans are actually divine, created “in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27) not only in having a soul, having dominion over the earth, or living in relationship with others, but by being of the same “spiritual class” as God Himself. Evangelicals decry this concept as misguided at best, or heretical and cultic at worst.

The main tenant of Word of Faith is that, when we ask something of God in faith, He is compelled to fill the request. As “little gods,” our words have much power. This error is taught by some television evangelists, and its roots in Pentecostalism have made it more common in Charismatic churches. The Word of Faith movement has a number of popular monikers including “name-it-claim-it,” “prosperity theology” and “health and wealth gospel.”

The basis for the “little gods” claim is found in two Scripture passages. Psalm 82:6 reads, “I said, ‘You are “gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’” Jesus quotes this psalm in John 10:34, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I have said you are gods’?” However, both of these passages include explanations in the immediate context which clearly do not indicate human divinity. Psalm 82:6 is followed by a warning that “you will all die like mere men, you will fall like every other ruler” (v. 7). The reference is to mortal men who represent God’s authority in the world—kings, judges, and magistrates. (Please see our article on Psalm 82:6.)

Psalm 82 is a warning to unjust leaders who consider themselves “gods” (Psalm 82:1) yet who “know nothing,” who “walk about in darkness” (Psalm 82:5). Jesus used this passage in response to those who accused Him of blasphemy. Essentially, Jesus asked why, when human rulers were called gods, “the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world” (John 10:36) was blaspheming by claiming to be God’s Son.

Claiming divinity for Christians is unsupportable, especially taking the rest of the Bible into account. God is God alone (Isaiah 37:16). We have never been God, we are not God now, and we never will be God. Jesus was fully God and fully man (a combination called the hypostatic union). If the “little gods” hypothesis is accepted, it imputes to Jesus a lesser divinity of some kind; He became a “little god” like us. John said that “the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14), but this does not indicate “a lesser divinity.” Jesus took on human flesh and blood in order to die for our sins (Hebrews 2:14), yet He retained His full position in the Godhead. God created us with a spirit, but that spirit does not hold divine qualities.

  37. Question: "Is being drunk in the Spirit a biblical experience?"

Answer: Nowhere in the Bible does it say to be drunk in the Spirit. When the Bible speaks of being drunk, it always has a negative connotation. The only place in Scripture that alludes to the idea of “spiritual drunkenness” is Isaiah 29:9-14, and it refers to God’s judgment upon sin and apostasy.

Some leaders in the Word of Faith movement and churches associated with the Toronto Blessing promote the false idea of being “drunk in the Spirit” or being filled with “drunken glory.” Congregations are instructed to “get drunk,” “take another drink,” and cast off all restraint. Stumbling gaits, slurred speech, falling to the ground and other odd behaviors are “proof” of the work of the Holy Spirit.

The false teachers who promote being drunk in the Spirit point to Acts 2:13 as justification for their aberrant practice. On the day of Pentecost, as the apostles were preaching the gospel, some in the crowd said, “They have had too much wine.” The accusation was obviously a mockery of the apostles, and Peter flatly denies any hint of inebriation (verse 15). Yet today’s Word of Faith teachers take this jest from an ungodly crowd and use it as “evidence” that Peter and the apostles were preaching in a senseless stupor. Such twisting of Scripture not only demeans the apostles, it also dishonors the Holy Spirit.

The apostle Paul wrote, “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:15-18).

Paul says that getting drunk is akin to our old way of life with its worldly and self-serving desires. Such behavior is debased and “leads to debauchery” (compare Colossians 1:21; Romans 13:13). The word debauchery is a translation of a Greek word meaning “lawless insolence or unmanageable caprice.” Paul deliberately contrasts the state of drunkenness (a loss of control) with the indwelling of the Spirit of God (a gain of self-control, Galatians 5:23).

God wants every aspect of our lives as believers to be under the complete control of the Holy Spirit. This does not come by drunkenness, and it does not mimic its effects.

Acting drunk and blaming it on the Spirit of God is sin. Those who teach spiritual intoxication are more closely allied with Bacchus, the Roman god of wine and drunkenness, than with the true God of the Bible. Being filled with the Spirit is not some ecstatic or emotionally charged experience. It is not a heavenly high or a spiritual buzz. Being filled with the Spirit is a steady submission of one’s life to the God of glory (1 John 3:24).

  38. I remember several years ago when Joyce was just a member of the church Her pastor made her sit down when she started wiggling around and staggering around as though she was drunk. After reading the above post I realize now what demon Spirit that is controlling Joyce among others. The Roman God. Funny she has a Roman Catholic Background it all makes sense now.

  39. I also saw Joyce at a church a few years ago acting really strange. She was jumping up and down and gesturing towards something in front of her and flailing her arms and dancing around like she had ants in her pants. Who knows - maybe she did. The woman is WEIRD.

  40. I know if Joyce knew the truth about how the Holy Spirit works she would not be pretending to be drunk or even wiggle around like she has ants in her pants.
The Holy Spirit does not draw attention to a person other then the LORD Jesus Christ. If you are looking for the manifestations as Joyce does you will get them but that does not mean it is the HOLY SPIRIT.

  41. I was just asking myself what does the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ mean to me. So I wondered if anyone following Joyce Leiphon ever really thinks about what God Our Father did for us with the Crucifixion of HIS ONLY SON. I mean truly think about what Great love God had to have had for His creation to come and die in our place. Now if God so love the World that he created that he sent His Only Son to die in our place how much more do you think God our Father's wrath will be on those who reject Jesus Christ. His love showed us great suffering. So I do not believe He ( God the Father) is taking to kindly to those who pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ by saying they have become "him" or little g gods. This is like slapping the LORD JESUS CHRIST in the face and telling Him no thanks I do not need your shed blood as I have also become god.

  42. Since Joyce now thinks that she is God, we assume that she no longer acknowledges that Christmas is all about the birth of Jesus, but is now a day to honor her instead?

  43. I sincerely hope that the cult leader and her "family" are all praying for the victims, families, and first responders of Newtown, Connecticut without yelling GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME, GIMME (money).

  44. It is so sad that anyone who says they are a minister of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ is wanting money more then preaching the truth of the Word of God. There are very strong warning all through the bible telling what is going to happen to these preachers if they do not repent. We are not living in the Kingdom age yet. From what I understand on this blog this preacher thinks she has already become perfect as Jesus Christ. She calls herself a member of the Royal family and should be treated as Royalty. Jesus was Royalty yet never asked to be treated as such. He came to serve the poor and bring salvation to the whole of man kind. He is the Good Shepherd the only one

  46. If Joyce is saying that she is as perfect as Jesus Christ and is a member of the Royal Family, that is clear evidence that this woman is not well. Pray for her.

  47. If Joyce is Jesus Christ, then she needs to start acting the part.

  48. Faith in the Finished work of Jesus Christ is what we all need. Matthew 24 tells us in the last days many will come and say they are the Christ and will deceive many. If anyone comes and tells you they have become "HIM they are denying the Cross of Christ even if they are teaching who you are in Christ!!!! They have to pretend to be preaching the truth but the truth is not in them. they have no spiritual understanding as this understanding come only from the Spirit of the LIVING God. Be careful who you believe. The Whole Word of God is truth. God says HE will be proved to be True and every man be proved a liar.

  49. I often think about Matthew 24, Verses 3-5, where Jesus sat upon the Mount of Olives and his Disciples came unto him saying, What shall be the sign of Thy coming and of the end of the world? And Jesus said unto them, 'TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU'. For many shall come in my Name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many. And then in Verse 11, it goes on to say, And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Joyce, there it is in The Holy Bible as to exactly what is going on with you and with your followers. It could not possibly be any clearer. What is your problem?

  51. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

  55. John 6:66 "From, that time many of is disciples went back, and walked no more with HIM". My Utmost For His Highest says this: " When God gives a vision by His spirit through His word of what He wants, and your mind and soul thrills to it, if you do not walk in the light of the vision you will sink into servitude to a point of view which Our Lord never had. Disobedience in mind to the heavenly vision will make you a slave to points of view that are alien to Jesus Christ. Do not look at someone else and say Well if he can have those views and prosper why cannot I? You have to walk in the light of the vision that has been given to you and not compare yourself with others or judge them. That is between them and God. When you find that a point of view in which you have been delighting clashes with the heavenly vision and you debate certain things will begin to develop in you a sense of property and a sense of personal right things of which Jesus Christ made nothing. He was always against these things as being the root of everything alien to HIMSELF. " A man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things that he possessth". We are apt to lie back and bask in the memory of the wonderful experience we have had. If there is one standard in the New Testament revealed by the light of God and you do not come up to it and do not feel inclined to come to it, that is the beginning of backsliding, because it means your conscience does not answer to the truth. You can never be the same after the unveiling of the truth. That moment marks you for going on as a more true disciple of Jesus Christ or for going back as a deserter.

Are you a deserter? Are you Following the Lord Jesus Christ or are you follow man's idea of righteousness.

  56. Just wondering if on this New Years Eve, all of the cult members will be trying to out-do each other to see how much money they can give to their "leader" and if they will all be staggering around like they're drunk and slobbering all over each other. What a sad way to worship our Lord.
