I recently spoke with a Christian believer and a brother in Christ. He called me about my blog and wanted to speak with me about a few things. I'll call my friend Tim, as he has given me permission to write about this and to share his experience with Joyce Leiphon.
I remember Tim while my time there, he visited Light of the World Church for a few months. He was breathing with the assistance of an oxygen tank and could tell it was difficult for him to get around.
Joyce Leiphon prides herself as a miracle worker and claims she has healed hundreds of people during the course of her ministry. Money has always been connected to faith at this church, so if you gave more, you should expect more, and receive more. The god of giving only gives if you give to the woman of god. When we had "healing conventions" at Light of the World Church it would always come back to money.
At one meeting, Tim came up for prayer and Joyce went through her antics, (shouting, screaming, shaking, etc) to heal Tim and get him cured of his lung disease. Unfortunately, as praise and worship leader I was setting the atmosphere for her god to show up and produce a miracle. She touched a few people and they did the "falling out" thing. When she got to Tim, nothing happened. Tim has been a Christian for many years and believes in healing but Joyce literally pushed him down in a chair and then commanded him to prove his healing by running around the church! After a few minutes, a very winded Tim wasn't healed and was visibly shaken after having to endure the Joyce Leiphon healing show. Joyce said flippantly to the church, "He just doesn't get it!" and moved on. I never gave it a thought until my recent phone call from Tim.
I continue write about what I personally saw and was a part of while at Light of the World Church. In retrospect, I realize the lack of compassion for the people came there for help. If you didn't get your healing or your money, you just "didn't get it". You didn't believe enough or give enough money. Tim never came back after that day and is currently on a lung transplant list.

Thank you so much Brother, I have also talk to Tim. He told me the same thing you just said. I didn't feel that I could post it as I had not witnessed it. Knowing all the while bro Tim was telling truth. Thank you again for your honesty. It is all about money and that is the shame of it all. I know my Jesus heals. I have been healed Praise God he is still on the throne. Those who preach as Joyce is preaching will have a lot to answer for if in fact she does not repent and turn from her evil wicked ways.
ReplyDeleteI want to say this. I have been told I am slandering Joyce's name. I can not slander her name if I am telling the truth. She has made remarks to our family members that she has always look up to me as though I was her mother. That I raised her. Well I was 7 years old when she was born. She has told family she had help me raise my three daughters. If that means she took my kids in order for them to work in her garden or be a play mate for her child well you read between the lines. Joyce lives in a fairy tale world. You are following her stop give her your money and you will see who and what she truly is. Jesus Christ is the only way. Even for material wealth. He gave it to those who are HIS. Not those who are preaching another Gospel another Jesus. I will tell the family members who think I am slandering her well I don't care because she is slandering the name of MY GOD and Savior the LOrd who died for us all Jesus Christ. ReplyDeleteJoyce needs to watch what she says about other people and their medical problems. She is certainly not exempt from becoming seriously ill herself. How incredibly sad that she treated this poor man "Tim" the way she did; how unspeakably cruel. I am flabbergasted. She should be totally ashamed of herself. And I bet she brags to others about what a "good Christian" she is. Tim, I will be praying that the Lord will heal you. God Bless You. And don't worry, Tim, our Lord sees everything that Joyce does; and he will take care of the situation.

ReplyDeleteJoyce, YOU need to read the Bible. Matthew 7, Verse 15 says, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew Chapter 24, Verses 3, 4, & 5, says, "And as He (Jesus)sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" And Jesus answered and said unto them "Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name saying, I am Christ, and shall deceive many." And then it goes on to talk about wars and rumours of wars, nation rising again nation, and famines and earthquakes in diverse places (which we have all been witnessing for years and continue to witness on a daily basis); and then in Verse 11 it goes on to say, "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." You, Joyce, are a FALSE PROPHET WHO IS DECEIVING MANY.
ReplyDeleteHow many others where at this service where Joyce treated Tim with such disrespect? I am sure there were a few. I am asking this people how would they have felt had she said any of this to them. Would they still be throwing money at her feet? The money should be going to further the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that is HIM CRUCIFIED. Joyce has not died for anyone Has she?

ReplyDeleteIt may not be physical. This woman may have had some type of life changing event or emotional trauma that now causes her to treat others as she does, such as a post traumatic stress disorder. Obviously, something is the root cause of it; her behavior is certainly not normal.
ReplyDeleteYes you are so right about Joyce Leiphon it is call "self". She thinks more of her self then she should. I have to wonder if she has ever truly read Matthew 20:20-28.. She should be the servant if she is doing the work of Jesus Christ. Now if she is wanting to be served then she is totally doing the work of the Devil. Matthew 20 :27 -28 says, " And who ever desires to be first among you let him be your slave. Just as the Son Of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many". What would make anyone think that they should become wealthy according to the standard of the World. then be waited on almost hand and foot like you are royalty. All believers in Christ are royalty. All believers in Christ are a royal Priesthood. All true believers in Jesus Christ are children to God. We are only to worship the ONLY Living God and Father the one who Raise Jesus Christ from the dead. Not Leroy Thompson or Joyce Leiphon. Yes Joyce has had trauma in her life but haven't most all of us. When you truly turn to Jesus Christ and you allow him into your heart Jesus will heal those hurts and trauma. Jesus did not come to be served so why would a man or woman who says they are called of God want to be served. She leading those who trust her to hell. She and all the people who are following her need Jesus Christ. That is why I tell her and her followers to turn from your evil wicked ways and repent turn to Jesus Christ who died for us all. Like I said Joyce's trauma is call SELF.

The majority of people would be willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt as to a reason why they might treat others horribly, but we think that the root cause of Joyce Leiphon's behavior is purely SELF and GREED. That poor Tim; can't get him out of our minds. We hope that Joyce will call him and apologize but none of us are holding our breath that that is ever going to happen. Therefore, there are several of us out here right now who say to him, "Tim, we sincerely apologize for Joyce's behavior to you and pray for your good health. The Lord is watching over you."
ReplyDeleteAll you members of light of the world church I know Joyce tells you who you can listen to and what you can believe. I am sure none of you are stupid maybe just ignorant about what a cult is. You all have internet look up what is a cult. You will fine much on the subject. But when a cult leader tells you who you can and cannot talk to or what books you can read. Look up what the curse of the Prosperity doctrine by Pastor Gary C Price. I found it on openheaven.com Joyce came out of a cult herself and now is a leader of a cult. It is so sad to have such knowledge of the Word of God and throw it all away for the love of money and all its evils. Self promotion worldly attitudes. Jesus came to serve not to be served. I have this question. Since Jesus did not want to be served on this earth why do some people who call themselves Pastor want to be served. Have you ever thought of that? Joyce won't answer my questions about the Word of God out of fear of loosing her anointing. I am not afraid of loosing anything as I have it all in Jesus. Am I perfect not yet but one day I will be. So until the KING OF KINGS returns for HIS Church I will forever be praying that my God and Savior Jesus Christ will open your eyes to see the truth. It is all about Jesus and HIM crucified. nothing more or less. We have it all in HIM. Are you truly one of HIS.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of cults, there was an interesting documentary on the National Geographic Channel just last evening about people who had been so emotionally traumatized and had fled cults. This particular group was the FLDS, and a group called the Greens, I believe; they had spun off of the Mormon church so they could continue to practice bigamy. Their leader was that nut job Warren Jeffs who I believe was just recently tried and convicted of child sexual abuse. The people who had left this cult spoke of the mind control practiced over them and the fear put in them if they did not obey and they also spoke about how they were not allowed to talk to others. If they displeased their "leader" everything was somehow connected to the devil. Sound familiar? As I sat there watching this, with the exception of the bigamy and child sexual abuse, this was a parallel to guess who. If you have the opportunity, watch this documentary; I'm sure it will re-run several times.

ReplyDeleteShe truly needs to repent an start rightly dividing the Word of God. Jesus heals there are many people who get healed first then believe in Jesus. So how can it be that " someone didn't get it". What is the it? that healing or what. Why some get healed and others don't? I truly have no idea. Jesus would never do to Tim what Joyce did to him. Yes I did see this on NGC was a very good. Jimmy Swaggart has been having a panel discussion on Frances and Friends on this subject. Cults, Mormon, Jehovah wittness, Islam and others. Hoping they will have one on this false doctrine Money cometh to me now and all the false teachers. Whoever controls your money controls you. Who do you serve
ReplyDeleteIt's probably never entered Joyce's mind, but wonder if she has a clue that if "Tim" had fallen over dead with a heart attack or respiratory arrest while she was going through her antics and making him run around the church gasping for breath, she could be charged with involuntary manslaughter. She needs to think about such a possibility before she embarks on her next "performance."
ReplyDeleteWell Like I have said before the only one that can change any of this with Joyce and anyone else who preaches as she does is the One true God and Father who raised Jesus from the dead. I pray that MY God will draw her to him that she may turn from this false Gospel she is preaching and lead those who follow her into the truth and that Is we have it all in Christ Jesus who shed His blood for all men. We have it all when we are in him. I am asking all who will to pray this prayer also. I want to pray this for all people as I know it is God's will that none be lost. I pray the LORD to do what has to be done to bring Joyce to the truth that He is God and He alone is the one to be worshiped.
ReplyDeleteI have a areal question if anyone would care to answer. First let me say that I know a church building needs to have the rent and utilities paid and other things for the building. My understanding is that when a person gives their tithes and offerings it is given to God. I have studied the old Testament tithing. I have studied the new testament tithing preachers. I have a real problem with the preaching of tithing in most churches today. This is my question. Most preachers preach bring you tithes and offerings into the Storehouse. I will not post the rest as you all know the rest. Where is the storehouse in your church? I also believe your preacher should receive a salary. However they should not be living any higher off the hog then the poorest of the church body. my opinion and every one has one. . I will tell you I am truly bless by the LORD God of all the living.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm not very knowledgeable about tithing or what this Storehouse is. But what I would like to know is where all this money is coming from that enables Joyce to live so high on the hog? Rent and utilities and furnishings for a leased church suite are not cheap. She apparently has quite a luxurious home and it is not likely that the mortgage, taxes, and insurance are cheap on that either. Even if she doesn't have a car payment, she has to maintain that vehicle, buy gas for it and pay insurance on it. Not to mention clothes, food, internet, electric bills, water bills, telehone bills, cell phone bills, cable TV bills, and so forth and so on. Extremely interesting......just where is all this money coming from?
ReplyDeleteWith reference to an above post where someone stated "repent Joyce while you still have time." This is so important. Joyce, we pray that you will NEVER EVER be killed in a horrible accident or other tragic event at ANY TIME, but especially now that you truly don't know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, and are only using His Name as a means to get money from people. We totally agree with the above post. You have no guarantee that you will live to a ripe old age and have plenty of time to repent; any one of us could be taken in a split second tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteCan't say it comes as any surprise about Joyce treating Tim this way. For another example of how cold and heartless this preacher is, as Doug's dad (Doug was one of Joyce's many husbands) lay dying in the hospital following a massive stroke, completely paralyzed, could not speak, could not swallow, and had a feeding tube in his stomach, Joyce stood at his bedside telling him what a sinner he was. So can't say it comes as any surprise that she would also demand that a completely breathless man run round and round her church.

ReplyDeleteWe often wonder who Joyce would blame if she were to have a heart attack, a stroke, be diagnosed with cancer, or sustain some sort of extremely serious injury. She is certainly not immune from something like this happening to her, although in her mind she thinks that she is.
ReplyDeleteHi I'm Tim and that's pretty much what happened. I do not want her to call me , my skin is much too thick to let her bother me, It's also not the only time that has happened to me. There are many unhealthy preachers out there. The money grab and healing claims of that church are some of the most astounding I have ever seen. Thank all of you for your support. I would love to visit with some of you as I have still not found another church to attend . It is very hard for me to get around. When I get a transplant I will be like a new man. God is good , I am very thankful as God has been good to me. God bless and love to you all
