A Voice in the Wilderness! Former Editor of Charisma Magazine Writes Article. Will Joyce Leiphon Change Now?

Here is an article recently written by J Lee Grady, former editor of Charisma magazine and Christian author of many books, including, "The Holy Ghost is Not for Sale"  You can read the entire article here:  http://www.charismamag.com/blogs/fire-in-my-bones/20325-6-really-bad-charismatic-doctrines-we-should-retire

While not mentioning Joyce Leipon and Light of the World Church specifically, all 6 of these practices are alive and well here and other churches, especially those who follow Apostle/Dr Leroy Thompson.

Joyce Leiphon was quite fond of Charisma magazine when they wrote an article about females in the pulpit.  I wonder how she feels about this Christian publication today and if she'll change her ways now?

NOTE:  all of these except number 2 on the list I've seen up close and personal at LOTWC.

Here are the six things J Lee Grady says we should retire from the church now!

Here are a few of the worst errors that have circulated in our movement in the past season. You may have others that need to be added to this list. I believe we are grieving the Holy Spirit if we continue to practice these things:
1. "Touch not My anointed." Chances are you’ve heard this weird doctrine based on 1 Chronicles 16:22. In an attempt to discourage any form of disagreement in the church, insecure leaders tell their members that if they ever question church authority, they are “touching the Lord’s anointed” and in danger of God’s judgment. Let’s call this what it is: spiritual manipulation. It creates worse problems by ruling out healthy discussion and mutual respect. Church members end up being abused or controlled—or even blacklisted because they dare to ask a question.
2. Dual covenant. We charismatics love and respect Israel. Some of us even incorporate Jewish practices in our worship—such as wearing prayer shawls, blowing shofars or celebrating Hebraic feasts. These things can enrich our Christian experience—but some leaders go too far when they begin to teach that Jews don’t need to believe in Jesus Christ to experience salvation. They imply that Jews have special access into heaven simply because of their ethnic heritage. This is a flagrant contradiction of everything the New Testament teaches.
3. Inaccessible leadership. In the 1980s, some charismatic ministries began to teach pastors and traveling ministers that in order to “protect the anointing,” they must stay aloof from people. Ministers were warned to never make friends in their congregations. Preachers began the strange practice of skipping worship on Sunday mornings—and then appearing on the stage only when it was time for the sermon in order to make a dramatic entrance. Shame on these people for attempting to justify arrogance. Jesus loved people, and He made Himself available to them. So should we.
4. Armor-bearers. The same guys who developed item No. 3 started this strange fad. Preachers began the practice of surrounding themselves with an entourage: one person to carry the briefcase, another person to carry the Bible, another to carry the handkerchief. Some preachers hired bodyguards … and even food-tasters! The armor-bearers were promised special blessings if they served preachers who acted like slave-owners. Reminder: True leaders are servants, not egomaniacs.
5. The hundredfold return. Before his death in 2003, Kenneth Hagin Sr., the father of the faith movement, rebuked his own followers for taking prosperity teaching to a silly extreme. In his book The Midas Touch, he begged preachers to stop misusing Mark 10:28-30 to suggest that God promises a hundredfold return on every offering we give. Hagin wrote, “If the hundredfold return worked literally and mathematically for everyone who gave in an offering, we would have Christians walking around with not billions or trillions of dollars, but quadrillions of dollars!” Hagin taught that the hundredfold blessing refers to the rewards that come to those who leave all they have to serve God in ministry.
6. Money cometh. Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for giving money publicly to be seen by others. Yet in the 1990s, some charismatics got the wild idea that God would release a magical blessing if we would drop wads of dollar bills at the preacher’s feet while he was in the middle of his sermon. Leroy Thompson of Louisiana popularized this flamboyant practice with his infamous 1996 sermon, in which he encouraged people to shout in King James English, “Money! Cometh to me now!” Then the people would run to the front of the auditorium to pour cash into his coffers. The money came, for sure, and more cash-hungry preachers jumped on the bandwagon. Taking an offering became a form of exhibitionism, and Christians began viewing their offerings like lottery scratch-offs.
God requires holiness not just in our behavior but also in our doctrine. Let’s discard these and any other foolish teachings that have brought confusion and dishonor to the body of Christ.

  1. Joyce Leiphon, with all of her greed and crooked ways, will eventually destroy herself.

  2. Thanks Bill for posting this on the blog. This shows that the truth as been posted on the blog for several years now. I pray now that someone will give this information to the rank and file who are giving these church leaders all there attention and money. I pray especially for those who are following Joyce Leiphon. She is one of the worst of the worst for wanting to keep her sheep in the dark. These so called leaders of the church and truly blind leading the blind and wolves in sheep clothing. I pray that the spirit behind this teacher and others like her will be bound and the true Holy Spirit be loose in their lives. We are all free moral agents with the right to choose what we will believe. Now these people can continue to follow the lies and half truths that is their choice. Or they can seek the face of God The Father for the real truth.

  3. While reading in 2 Kings I came up to 20th chapter. This chapter made me think of Joyce Leiphon. Gehazi was a servant of Elisha the man of God. While Joyce is the servant of Leroy Thompson. Joyce like Gehazi is running after great wealth. There will be consequences for Joyce's actions. Just as there were with Gehazi. God put Naaman's leprosy on Gehazi. Do you think it will be any different for one today who claims to be doing what the Master has said yet they are truly going after the wealth. It is a very good chapter to read as are all the verses and books of the bible.

  4. I say that if all of these people who are following this corrupt pastor don't have any more intelligence or any better sense than to give her all their money and turn over their assets and property to her and make her extremely wealthy, then they deserve to suffer the consequences of losing everything they own. However, it will be interesting to see how they react when Joyce is eventually busted for fraud, or income tax evasion, or running a ponzi scheme, or whatever, as well as bringing down the person or persons who are hiding all of this cash for her, and it will suddenly dawn on them that they will be getting nothing in return from this pastor as promised. When that happens, let's see how long they continue to follow their "God."

  5. Anyone who supports or is connected to this church, err... excuse me, cult, is obviously not playing with a full deck. Thank God for those who were smart enough to leave.

  7. I had a most interesting experience today and I am still reeling in disbelief as I write this. A man whom I have known for 35+ years stopped by my house. When I answered my door, he looked so horrible that I did not even recognize him. He had lost an incredible amount of weight and literally looked like the walking dead. He told me that he had been diagnosed with a disease for which there was no cure. I had actually dated this man a few times many years ago but had broken off the relationship because he had become so verbally abusive, and simply had far too many power and control issues. I could sense that he was now seeking a friend or at least someone to sit down and talk with after so many people had shunned him and turned away from him over the years because of the way he treated them. I certainly do not wish any pain or suffering upon this man, but I am left wondering if a Higher Power could finally be delivering justice to him for all of his evil ways, meanness, and his insatiable need for power and control over others (like someone else we know?) The biggest tragedy in all of this is, just like Joyce Leiphon, this man does not truly know the Lord. I am going to pray for him and ask that he will repent of his sins and seek and accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior before it is too late. Any thoughts out there about this? Does the Lord punish people in this manner?

    1. well if we sow evil we will reap evil.. Sin always has consequences. The first sin of Adam brought the physical and spiritual death of all men. God poured out His Wrath on His only Son on the Cross of Calvary. So yes by all means pray for the salvation of this man. sickness and disease comes from the fall of man at the beginning. I do not believe God puts any disease on a person. However, when we read in the Bible about some who receive the LORD' supper unworthily we do open ourselves to sickness. I do not believe God punishes anyone today. He has given us a way to be forgiven of our sins and that is through the Blood of Jesus. We all will reap the consequences of our actions. The Lord has given all men His Word ( The Bible) to lead and guide us to Him. Yes by all means speak to this man about the Love our God and shown to us by sending His Son to die in our place as the punishment for our sin. When we realize that Jesus died for us and make him our Personal Savior we will not receive the wrath that our sin should bring on us. We will have eternal life not a life eternal in hell. To many like to be in control of their lives and be their own god. that is the problem starting with Adam. I hope I have help you concerning this matter. Jesus has to become real to each of us personally. God does not punish us but He allows stuff to happen to us to draw us closer to Him.

  8. Thank you so much JFCecil. Your response helped me tremendously. I absolutely believe that God does allow stuff to happen to draw us closer to Him. I prayed at length last evening for this man and will continue to do so.

  9. You are welcome. I will also lift this man to the lord. I do not have to know his name the Lord knows who he is. I am going to ask you and others that are reading this blog no matter how much Joyce Leiphon has hurt many people to pray for her salvation. Prayer is the only thing that can and will turn a persons life to God. I thank God for the ones that Prayed for me to come to know the Lord. I like Joyce have followed many false teachings in my life time. I thank God he has delivered me out of the false that is being presented in most of the Modern church today.

  11. Romans chapters 7&8
Waging War against Our Souls (7:23)
As we seek to understand the flesh, it's important to see that this is no benign competition. It is war against our spirits. Consider verse 23:
"I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members." (7:23)
This term "waging war" (NIV, NASB), "warring" (KJV), "at war" (NRSV) is antistrateuomai, "to be at war with,"127 from anti, "over against, hostile opposition" + "strateuō, "to engage in a conflict, wage battle, fight."128 In chapter 8 we read, "The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God" (8:7, NRSV). This concurs with several other New Testament references that characterize the Christian life as conflict:
"[The flesh and the Spirit] are in conflict129with each other." (Galatians 5:17)
"What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires130 that battle (strateuō) within you?" (James 4:1)
"Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires,131 which war (strateuō) against your soul." (1 Peter 2:11)
Note: The scope of spiritual warfare is the world, the flesh, and the devil. These verses refer primarily to the war with the flesh, though these realms do interact with each other.
If we pamper the flesh and give into its desires, we are merely feeding a monster that will grow that much stronger. The flesh is the enemy of our soul and wages war against it. The answer to the flesh, of course, is the power of the Spirit.

  12. I found the above on the internet so while Joyce preaches Satan I will have to say most of us live out of our flesh according to the Book of Romans and the truth that is written in the Bible not what is coming out of the heart of men an woman who want to be worship such as Joyce Leiphon and others

  13. the last time I tried to listen to Joyce Leiphon preach she mention the 55 Chapter of Isaiah the 6 verse. I went and read the whole chapter and I had to wonder why she didn't mention the first five verses where we are told we don't need to have money to receive the Abundant life. Now the 6 verse tells us all to " seek the LORD" while he can still be found. What Joyce doesn't realize is when you are seeking the finer things of life you are no longer depending on the Lord Jesus Christ to provide all your need. His Word says to seek Him not gold of silver. Jesus said it is what comes out of the mouth of man that defiles a man as this is what the heart is about. So if you like Joyce twist the Word of God to mean what you want it to mean I have serious doubts that you know Lord Jesus Christ. Joyce wants to be god and she truly believes she has become him. Repent Joyce while the Lord can still be found. Once you are dead it is to late.

  14. Question: "What was the firstfruits offering? Should Christians give a firstfruits offering today?"

Answer:Firstfruits was a Jewish feast held in the early spring at the beginning of the grain harvest. It was observed on Nissan 16, which was the third day after Passover and the second day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Firstfruits was a time of thanksgiving for God’s provision.

Leviticus 23:9-14institutes the firstfruits offering. The people were to bring a sheaf of grain to the priest, who would wave it before the Lord. A burnt offering, a meal offering, and a drink offering were also required at that time.Deuteronomy 26:1-10gives even more detail on the procedure of firstfruits.

No grain was to be harvested at all until the firstfruits offering was brought to the Lord (Leviticus 23:14). The offering was made in remembrance of Israel’s sojourn in Egypt, the Lord’s deliverance from slavery, and their possession of “a land that floweth with milk and honey.” The day of the firstfruits offering was also used to calculate the proper time of the Feast of Weeks (Leviticus 23:15-16).

In the New Testament, the firstfruits offering is mentioned seven times, always symbolically. Paul calls Epaenetus and the household of Stephanas “the firstfruits of Achaia” (Romans 16:5;1 Corinthians 16:15). His meaning is that, just as the firstfruits offering was the first portion of a larger harvest, these individuals were the first of many converts in that region. James calls believers “a kind of firstfruits of His creatures” (James 1:18). Just like the sheaf of grain was set apart for the Lord, so are believers set apart for God’s glory.

The firstfruits offering found its fulfillment in Jesus. “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20). Jesus’ resurrection has paved the way for our resurrection. Significantly, if Jesus was killed at Passover, then His resurrection on the third day would have fallen on Nissan 16—the Feast of Firstfruits.

The firstfruits offering is never directly applied to Christian giving in the New Testament. However, Paul taught the Corinthian believers to set aside a collection “on the first day of the week” (1 Corinthians 16:2). And, just as the offering of firstfruits was an occasion of thanksgiving, so the Christian is to give with gladness.

In summary, firstfruits symbolizes God’s harvest of souls, it illustrates giving to God from a grateful heart, and it sets a pattern of giving back to Him the first (and the best) of what He has given us. Not being under the Old Testament Law, the Christian is under no further obligation than to give cheerfully and liberally (2 Corinthians 9:6-7).

  15. Joyce is still preaching the " first fruit". I suppose this first fruit goes into her pocket just as the "first fruit" offering went to the Priest of the Old Testament. Jesus Christ is our " first fruit. We do not have priest today as in the days of old. I googled " first fruit" and found the above. Wake up people you are being scammed by this preacher and others teaching like this one

  16. I have to wonder with all the information on the internet why people do not research their religion. I know Joyce says what she preaches is not " religion" however when there are all the you got to do's isn't that a religion? When all Jesus said was " come follow Me. I burden is light and my yoke is easy". Is it easy to give half you income to your Word of Faith preacher then be told you don't have what you are believing god for is the fact that you do not have enough faith to have what the preacher has? Just wondering. I spent several hours this morning reading what ex-word of faith preachers had to say about this false teaching. The Blind leading the blind and the blind sheep are to dumb to realize they have been deceived. I now understand why Jesus liken us to sheep. We are truly dumb most of the time and can easily be deceived all for the love of Money. Joyce sings the praise of Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin and Leroy Thompson and others that truly only want your money

  17. You may think that only the wealthy are covetous but that is not true. Covetousness is a sin of the flesh which is common to all men, rich or poor. The prosperity gospel appeals specifically to the covetousness inherent in our sinful flesh. It entices us with the promise of a life of wealth and ease and covers it with a thin veneer of spirituality. Peter warned us that false teachers would use covetousness to deceive us.

By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words;................2Peter 2:3 NKJV
Gambling addicts get hooked because they win just enough to keep them coming back for more. They return time and time again thinking this will be the day they finally hit it big. People caught up in the prosperity gospel are victims of the same mentality. The god of this world sends out his own servants disguised as ministers of righteousness and blesses them with all the material blessings this world has to offer. These men and women are offered up as examples of those whom the true God has blessed and they are used to entice others into that same covetousness. Then, just like the gambling addict, the god of this age will bless their followers with just enough to keep them coming back for more, just enough to keep their heads above water. It is an endless circle, a never ending carousel with a brass ring that seems so close but is always just out of reach.
I found this article on Apostasy watch. The head line was HOW GREAT IS THIS DARKNESS. There are many good articles on this site showing how deceptive the Prosperity Gospel really is. It is a tool of Satan. Isn't this truly what Joyce Leiphon is teaching in Her church. those who follow her get just enough to keep them hooked.

  18. John 3: 16 says; For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
When I read this I have to go back and look at the Crucifixion of Christ. Did Jesus Christ really go through the horrible death so those who want to be rich could use His name for whatever they want ? What does it me to be a follower of Christ? Does it mean that you can have whatever your heart desires? Does it mean you can treat people as though they are less then you? I heard a preacher teach last night that if we being a professing Christian treat others as less important then ourselves we are in “sin”. I have family members who follow the word of faith and money cometh doctrine. They will not even speak to me. They will not answer any questions I have about what and why they believe as they do. Now when I go to the LORD and ask Him questions concerning His word He has always answered me. It may not have come over night or immediately but He does answer my question. I have to ask what are these preachers and their follower afraid of. I believe the Preacher is afraid they will lose their incomes if the people following them come to know the Truth that is in the Word of God. The ones following the preacher are afraid if they disobey their preacher they are disobeying God!!! At least this is what I understand from the booklet of Light of the World Church membership class. Also those who truly believe and Trust in the “ finished” of Jesus Christ on the Cross are the true members of the “Royal” family. How are the Followers of Joyce Leiphon showing others the Love of God when they shun those who will not accept what Joyce Leiphon teaches as being the whole truth. I wonder if all her followers shun their family members who do not believe what Joyce Leiphon teaches or is it just Joyce and her family members who follow her? It really doesn't matter what She teaches or believes or what I believe. What matters is what does the true Word of God says.

  19. Word-Faith (WOF) teaching, identified with Ken Copeland and Ken Hagin, is the foundation for today’s prophetic/apostolic movement. Several years ago Tricia Tillin wrote an article on the Top Ten Reasons for rejecting Word-of-Faith doctrine.
    REASON ONE:
    It requires ‘revelation knowledge’.
    REASON TWO:
It makes the Almighty God and Creator a weak ‘faith-being’ who is at the mercy of His own universal laws.
    REASON THREE:
It makes the Divine Son of God into a born-again man who had to die in Hell to pay the price for our treason.
    REASON FOUR:
It elevates man to equality with Jesus.
    REASON FIVE:
    It makes man a god.
    REASON SIX:
It makes the redemption into a restoration of dominion for mankind.
    REASON SEVEN:
Its goal is the transformation of the earth by spiritual dominion.
    REASON EIGHT:
It replaces prayer with confession, and God’s will with the manipulation of ‘forces’.
    REASON NINE:
It denies the reality of sin and sickness.
    REASON TEN:
It focuses on self and the world instead of God and Heaven.

According to what Joyce Leiphon is teaching she believes all the above. So sad this woman says she is called by the Most Holy God to preach the true Gospel when in fact she herself does not believe the true Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

  20. The Secret of the Lord” Utmost for His Highest
    06
    03
    2014

The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him . . . —Psalm 25:14

What is the sign of a friend? Is it that he tells you his secret sorrows? No, it is that he tells you his secret joys. Many people will confide their secret sorrows to you, but the final mark of intimacy is when they share their secret joys with you. Have we ever let God tell us any of His joys? Or are we continually telling God our secrets, leaving Him no time to talk to us? At the beginning of our Christian life we are full of requests to God. But then we find that God wants to get us into an intimate relationship with Himself— to get us in touch with His purposes. Are we so intimately united to Jesus Christ’s idea of prayer— “Your will be done” (Matthew 6:10)— that we catch the secrets of God? What makes God so dear to us is not so much His big blessings to us, but the tiny things, because they show His amazing intimacy with us— He knows every detail of each of our individual lives.

“Him shall He teach in the way He chooses” (Psalm 25:12). At first, we want the awareness of being guided by God. But then as we grow spiritually, we live so fully aware of God that we do not even need to ask what His will is, because the thought of choosing another way will never occur to us. If we are saved and sanctified, God guides us by our everyday choices. And if we are about to choose what He does not want, He will give us a sense of doubt or restraint, which we must heed. Whenever there is doubt, stop at once. Never try to reason it out, saying, “I wonder why I shouldn’t do this?” God instructs us in what we choose; that is, He actually guides our common sense. And when we yield to His teachings and guidance, we no longer hinder His Spirit by continually asking, “Now, Lord, what is Your will?”

  21. After listening to Joyce Leiphon's preaching via the internet and reading what is posted on this blog. I decided to read again the Book by D.R. McConnell “” A Different Gospel”. This book truly explains what is truly wrong with the Word of Faith doctrine! It is pure gnosticism the same that the Apostle Paul warns us to stay away from in his Epistles., Joyce teaches “revelation knowledge” which makes some people “super” Christians while others who never attain the “ revelation knowledge” are not in their league. This is totally against all Scripture. God is no respecter of persons. Joyce also teaches that God had to use His faith to create the earth and all that is created. That we by speaking the Word of God back to God because of “ spiritual laws” God has to do what ever we speak back to him. To me this is making the God of the Bible below the Human being, that God created out of nothing. God rules all creation as He see fit and has nothing to do with “spiritual laws”. The word of faith teaches you can not know God with “sense knowledge” you have to have “revelation knowledge”. If this is true how would anyone come to know the Love of God. The ones that are lost come to know the love of God through the sense knowledge given to each human being. There is a void in our heart and there is faith placed in our human heart to want to know the Living God. The creator of all things seen and unseen. No human has ever been given the authority to demand God do anything for them. Following the word of faith doctrine as Joyce and others do are in fact denying the true atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ even while preaching His death and Resurrection. They all preach it was in hell that Jesus redeemed us from the penalty of sin and death. While the Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ tells us it is the CROSS, The shedding of His Blood not His resurrection that redeemed us. You can find this book on thriftbooks.com. I only paid $4.00 or less and free shipping. IF you truly love the LORD I am sure you will get this book. It totally shows the error of the word of faith doctrine. This is only part of what I know to be error of the word of faith. It truly is the doctrine of demons the Bible speaks about.

  22. As I read more and more of the Book " Another Gospel" and the statements this man has made about the word of faith and then listen to Joyce Leiphon preach, I have no doubt she has read or is reading the book. She uses some of the phrases the Author uses in his book . He has used the phrase " faith Formula" and Joyce has used the same phrase. Also there are a lot of statement both E. W Kenyon and Kenneth Hagin, Ken Copeland, she preaches word for word. Joyce followers are not allowed to read or listen to anyone who does not preach like she does. The word of faith doctrine has historical beginning in the New thought, metaphysics and includes "religion such as Christian Science, Unity School of Christianity and the Science of the mind. The Apostle Paul warns us through his epistles about this false doctrine which was even in His days.I cannot believe that anyone who is lead by the Holy Spirit can read any of the books as I know Joyce has read and keep preaching the lies that started in the Garden " the Knowledge of good and evil". Look at the word KNOWLEDGE. The canon of the Bible was closed with the death of John the beloved,. There has never been any "Revelation Knowledge" given to any man or woman outside of the Written Word of God. Now preachers can and do twist the Written Word of God to confuse those who trust them. They believe their preacher would know and understand the Written Word of God. So they place their faith and trust is the preacher not the Lord Jesus Christ. Is God truly a " faith force" as Joyce preaches. Can we really demand and decree that God obey " His spiritual laws? Can we truly demand anything from the God who created everything that has been created by HIS spoken Word. Does the bible really say that we can become Him in the earth as Joyce and others preach?

  23. 1 Corinthians 13
    New King James Version (NKJV)
    The Greatest Gift
13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; 5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; 6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Joyce Leiphon are you truly showing the Love of the Most High God when you place other men and yourself on the Giant Pedestal. Decreeing that God has to obey you. So sad to not know the truly meaning of the Love of the Most High God and the Great price He has paid for your soul. Those who truly know you Joyce know you are a fake. Read the above scripture again. I pray that one day I can talk to Joyce and not have to post on this blog what she needs to hear. Thank you Jesus for your loving kindness and great mercy. But for the Grace of God I would be a false teacher myself.

  24. The third commandment that God gave to Moses states: “ I am the Lord thy God thou shall have no other god before me.
Now the catholic popes says he is god on the earth. Joyce Leiphon, according to her booklet on her membership class claims she is god on the earth. Actually she states “ she has become “ Him”.
Now the Bible I read says that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit back to the believer to lead, guide and teach those who place their faith and trust in the finished work of Christ and His cross.
Now please can anyone answer the Question how can there be several people who claim to be god on the earth and truly be saved? Just like the pope people bow down and kiss his ring. Bowing down truly is a form of worship. Now maybe Joyce Leiphon may not demand anyone to bow down before her but with her actions towards people isn't she in fact demanding the same obedience the pope declares in his “ religion”. Isn't Joyce using the name of Jesus for personal gain which the Bible clearly states that is using the name of Jesus in an unholy Manner!!!. Isn't that taking the Name of the Lord in vain Can we as Joyce states live the full “ resurrection” today? Doesn't self declare and decree all manner of desires and then demands that God give us what ever we demand from Him. Isn't this also a false teaching. Just like the Catholic pope. So with saying all the above how can either the pope or Joyce Leiphon claim to be god on the earth and truly be “saved” by the Blood of the only Begotten Son of God.

They said to Him, ’Rabbi . . . where are You staying?’ He said to them, ’Come and see’ —John 1:38-39

Where our self-interest sleeps and the real interest is awakened. “They . . . remained with Him that day . . . .” That is about all some of us ever do. We stay with Him a short time, only to wake up to our own realities of life. Our self-interest rises up and our abiding with Him is past. Yet there is no circumstance of life in which we cannot abide in Jesus.

“You are Simon . . . . You shall be called Cephas” (John 1:42). God writes our new name only on those places in our lives where He has erased our pride, self-sufficiency, and self-interest. Some of us have our new name written only in certain spots, like spiritual measles. And in those areas of our lives we look all right. When we are in our best spiritual mood, you would think we were the highest quality saints. But don’t dare look at us when we are not in that mood. A true disciple is one who has his new name written all over him— self-interest, pride, and self-sufficiency have been completely erased.

Pride is the sin of making “self” our god. And some of us today do this, not like the Pharisee, but like the tax collector (see Luke 18:9-14). For you to say, “Oh, I’m no saint,” is acceptable by human standards of pride, but it is unconscious blasphemy against God. You defy God to make you a saint, as if to say, “I am too weak and hopeless and outside the reach of the atonement by the Cross of Christ.” Why aren’t you a saint? It is either that you do not want to be a saint, or that you do not believe that God can make you into one. You say it would be all right if God saved you and took you straight to heaven. That is exactly what He will do! And not only do we make our home with Him, but Jesus said of His Father and Himself, “. . . We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23). Put no conditions on your life— let Jesus be everything to you, and He will take you home with Him not only for a day, but for eternity.

  26. I have heard many preachers tell their followers that if they truly are born-again they do not sin. The sin nature has either been done away with or at least no longer active in their lives. Joyce Leiphon states that she is never bothered by the " world, flesh or the devil. As I thought about this statement that I heard from her own mouth I realize she was telling the truth. Only those who truly have the Spirit of the Living God dwelling within them are bothered by the World, the flesh and the devil. According to 11Cor: 11:4 if the Holy Spirit abides within our hearts there will be struggles with the World the flesh and the Devil. The devil never bothers those he owns. Sometime he gives them all the riches they desire and allow them to claim it all came from God. Joyce isn't this your source since you are never bothered by the things of the World the flesh and the devil? I do not know one person who is a true believer in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross who has attained the level of perfection that Joyce and other preachers claim to have attained. Sin is the cause of all problems that are in this world. Preachers such as Joyce and others are not preaching the truth according to the Word of God. If sin was not a big problem then why does the Apostle Paul in Romans and he other Epistles tell us sin is the problem?

  27. I wonder if this preachers heart has been hardened? When you think you have become so in tuned with the will of God you separate yourself from everyone who does not believe what you teach and stand for have you not " hardened " your heart against all the Lord Jesus Christ has done for all men. I think of several men whose hearts were hardened. Saul the King of Israel hardened his Heart against the will of God. Pharaoh did also believing He was god on the earth. Does God allow a persons heart to become hardened? I believe He does. Didn't God send many to warn Saul. Didn't He use Moses to tell Pharaoh to " let my people go and even after Pharaoh son died and He let the people go did he again harden his heart. Are those who believe they have become God on the earth or that they are living the totally resurrection life now haven' they hardened their hearts against the truth in the Living Word of God. When you continue to rebuke those the LORD sends to you to show you your "error"and continue on as Pharaoh and Saul did in the Old testament haven't you lost you way or have you chosen you own way? Just something to think about.
