I saw this in the comment section recently and wanted to post this as this describes my experience with the "Money Cometh" gospel as preached by Joyce Leiphon Thank you to anonymous for sharing their comments. This is part 1, part deaux 2 will follow. Anonymous comments are in bold. My personal response and my experience are in yellow.
The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.
Yes, Yes and YES! I believed everything Joyce Leiphon said and taught as the gospel. She would tell us we should follow her as she followed Jesus. Joyce Leiphon could never be wrong as she is a woman of God!
Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
Yes, Yes and YES I was a spy, a spy within the inner circle of LOTWC, my assignment was to watch out for those who would show signs of doubt. Yes, I admit, I did report those who said things not in line with Joyce Leiphon and her teachings. Punishment was severe and quick. The Amish, Jehovah's Witnesse's, Mormon's etc have nothing over the control Joyce Leiphon has over her group. I'm talkin' about shunning, calling them devils, do not talk, eat, help, console, and there is no chance of reconciliation to come back into her good graces.
Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).
Yes, Yes, and YES! Every Monday night, 7-8pm, mandatory prayer which would consist of reading several scriptural passages, inserting PASTOR JOYCE into the written text. Wed night 6-7pm more of the same. Then the service about money cometh. Sunday morning 9-10am, more of the same. After scriptures were read in unison, a time for praying in tongues. The louder, the better! I can not tell you how many people came and left before a Sunday service to start at 10 am to find a group of screaming, shouting, shaking people speaking in tongues and Joyce having a few select people following her closely so she wouldn't fall down in a drunken state, overcome by the power of God! No wonder people left!
The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marry—or leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).
Yes, Yes and YES! The leadership is Joyce Leiphon. There are no elders, decons, or any accountability. Even in her inner circle, which I was part of, we obeyed her every word. I have seen people not take jobs because it was too far away from her church and have seen families split apart, husband and wife, because she said so. No shopping at Walmart or Goodwill, thrift shops as it was beneath our "Divinity" The threat of being cursed for touching the anoited of God.
The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avatar—or the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).
The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.
Yes, Yes and YES! When I left LOTWC I was told "I thought you were one of us!" To this day, that brother will turn his head when we meet on the road. When someone left the church, we were to have nothing to do with them. It was a US against THEM, and the THEM were other Christian churches! We NEVER partnered with any other church in Ft Pierce. Joyce Leiphon would tell us how this message of "Money Cometh" was unique and how we would become wealthy and we should be thankful that God chose her to teach us the way and that we were a remnant of believers to be RICH!

I will have to tell all who are listening to the money gospel to do their own study to see if tithing as it is preached today still proper!! Is the money you are throwing at the pastors feet on into his/her pocket used to further the true gospel of Jesus Christ or does 99.9% go into the pastors pocket or to lavish gift such at Joyce Leiphon tells her follower that God wants her to have these things as she deserves them. Do not misunderstand. Jesus Christ is OUR COVENANT. HE is all we need. We are to give according to how our soul prospers not according to the old LAW I do not care what preacher teaching tithing is still the law today. I have no problem if the preacher preached truth about the tithe and offering but they either don't know the truth or are afraid that if the teach the truth they will not be able to live the standard of their choice. IF you read all the scripture pertaining to the tithe you will find that it was all ordered to be given out of the increase. Who provides the increase? The Most High God does plain and simple. Search The Scripture for yourself if you do not do this and the one you are following is not teaching the truth you will not know it. The only Way is to test the spirit does every word line up the the total word of God. You will be held responsible for your own soul if you loose it as you have the opportunity to KNOW the Word of God and not reject Him like Israel did. Read it for you self. It is all in HIS WORD not the words of the preacher. Check it out.

My question is this. If you believe these verses of Scripture how can you follow any teaching that is not what is written word for word in the Holy Bible. Reading these post I realize more the ever how twisted some are teaching the word of God. We all have an anointing not just a few so where does this preacher Joyce Leiphon have the right to tell anyone what to believe or what they can and cannot do. I do not believe it is the role of a preacher to tell people who they can talk to or what ever this woman is doing. Seems like to me what I am reading about her she has denied that Jesus Christ has done enough to give all who believe in Him and have a real relationship with Jesus all that he has promised. It is strange to say the least. I will pray for this woman that God may touch her that she repents from her false teaching.

ReplyDelete1. True Christianity must line up with the Bible, the word of God. True Christianity pronounces Jesus Christ to be the son of God and believes that He is the only way to salvation and forgiveness.
2. True Christianity will be rejected by the vast majority. This has always been the case throughout history. In Noah's time only 8 people were saved in the whole world. In Lot's time only Lot and his family were saved in two cities. The Bible says that our time will be similar to Noah and Lot's time so it is very likely that the percentage of people saved could be similar.
3. True Christianity will be considered radical by most people. Jesus, the apostles and the prophets were considered radical. The Bible says that Christians are a peculiar people.
4. True Christianity will boldly rebuke and hate evil to such a large extent that those who preach the truth will greatly upset those who are evil. Those who preach truth will suffer persecution as a result.
5. True Christianity will be controversial and cause divisions (Luke 12: 51,52). To cause these divisions major change would have to occur in someone's life which would upset others.
6. True Christianity will testify that almost everything that almost everyone does is evil.
7. True Christianity will be about true love, which is sharing and caring for others, where the main focus is to proclaim or aid the proclamation of the Gospel.
8. True Christianity will not be conformed to the world by accepting or desiring materialism, money and commercialism as a good thing or a
part of life.
ReplyDelete9. True Christianity will not be able to be proved wrong, although people may appear to make it sound untrue by arguing against it by using false statements.
10. True Christianity will not be deceptive or misleading or cause people to believe a lie. It will be about honesty and truth. People today are saying misleading things such as that the church is fine. They say that people are getting healed everywhere and saying that they are healed when they are not. This could be compared to a dishonest salesman who says something is great when it does not work in order to get people to accept their product or system.
11. True Christianity is positive about good things and doing God's will, but it hates evil. It is not like the mainstream that is positive about many evil things. Saying that something evil is good is only leading people to do evil. Many people say that things are fine and that many people are being saved and doing God's will when this is not true. This is only suppressing the fact that the world is almost totally evil and causing people not to repent.
12. True Christianity has the fruits of commitment to doing God's will and it will follow the historical example of those who did God's will such as Jesus, the Apostles and the Prophets. Using your time and money to do God's will is the purpose of life. The majority don't do God's will by working for the corrupt system or spending their money and time on unnecessary things.
Where does this leave the mainstream Church and the millions of people who think they are Christians. Although the mainstream churches have a lot of true Bible teaching, it appears that they probably will not fit into the category of the minority of saved believers. Therefore, they may be rejected and considered lukewarm if they don't repent.
The Bible promises that God will help His chosen people who obey Him by answering their prayers and leading them. However, curses are promised to people that disobey God. (Duet 28). Obedient people should therefore receive a greater percentage of desirable outcomes and a lower percentage of undesirable outcomes than the ungodly. God should help His people to think or work more efficiently, remember better, make the correct decisions, and find what they need with less frustrating problems, inconveniences or accidents than unbelievers. Please let me know if you know of anyone who can produce the evidence that they are obviously led and helped by God so that the result cannot be explained by imagination and the laws of probability. I know that the Bible promises trials and persecution, but it indicates that there should be divine help as well, as explained at truechristianity.com .
There are many debatable doctrines that I am not sure of. However, I am willing to believe and practice them if someone can show me and produce the evidence that these doctrines are what God really wants us to believe. If someone is obviously led and helped by God as explained in the previous paragraph, there would be a good chance that their beliefs would be fully correct. We are yet to meet anyone who can produce the evidence that God is pleased with them and helping them.
Sounds like Joyce has totally lost her mind.

ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge what it takes to be a real Christian is to have a intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I know I am totally grateful and in awe of what Jesus Christ has done for me and my life. I am totally devoted to him and HIS WORD. IF it isn't written in his word plain for you to see you either aren't one of his or you, like this preacher Joyce Leiphon is truly deceived. It is so sad but scripture is being revealed as it does say in the last days there will be many false teachers and doctrine. Many will follow their lies. I am praying for this woman and all who follow her. Does any one know how many members to this group? It doesn't matter My Jesus knows who they are and I do not need their name to pray that their eyes and ears be open and get away from this false teacher. Praise God

With regard to what Bill Shaw is posting concerning his experience with the bizarre behavior of people in this church, a pastor who succeeds in having this much control over people is perpetrating extreme mental abuse, and I hope these people report it. No one should have so much power over others that they are forced to endure this kind of insanity. If I showed up at a church service where people were acting like they were drunk, high on something, possessed by demons, shaking, screaming, shouting, falling down, and probably frothing at the mouth,I would get the hell out of there too. I don't blame anyone for leaving this church.
ReplyDeleteI have to say I am a born-Again Spirit-filled tongue talking Christian. However, when manifestations such as being told that is going on in this Church makes me wonder if any of them are truly born again and Spirit -filled. They are in the seeker sensitive movement which has a beginning with the metaphysical and often with the Occult in operation. I would be looking for a different place to worship. Where the truth and the real presence of the HOLY SPIRIT is in operation. You can only have the operation the HOLY SPIRIT where truth is taught. The truth is Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Manifestations are not what to look for to see if someone is Spiritual. Look at their life styles. Are they there to help all people or just themselves?

DeleteReading Gal 5 it shows us the Liberty we have in Christ Jesus. If we are led by the Spirit (Holy Spirit) we are not under the Law ( of Moses or any other law). Verses 19-21 tells us what the works of the Flesh are. Now the fruit of the Spirit is in verse 22. But the fruit of the Spirit ( Holy Spirit) are Love, Joy, Peace longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness faithfulness gentleness SELF CONTROL ( not staggering around like a drunk!!!! on the spirit) Against such there is no Law.
ReplyDeleteI was born in sin and I lived in sin most of my life. However when Jesus Christ became real to me my life changed. IF there is no change in your life I doubt very much if you truly know the Lord Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. If you are still greedy for money, wealth, and power, all the riches of the worlds as Joyce Leiphon and Leroy Thompson are preaching well according to what I read in the word of God they are just the same as they were before hearing about Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I read so much on this blog about how Joyce Leiphon has treated many people in the area where she lives. That someone should know if there has been a real change in her life. If no change she has no understanding of the Cross of Christ. Still living like she always did. Still wanting money power and prestige ( wanting to be worshiped). Appears to me that is just what this woman is wanting. All the things of the world flesh and the devil. I am praying for this poor soul and all who are following this false teacher.

1. He will bring us into the knowledge that Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our Faith.
2. Does the manifestation bring honor to the person of Jesus Christ.
3. Produces a greater hatred of sin and a greater love for righteousness
4. Produces greater regard for the Scripture
5. Produces a greater love for God and man
6.Leads people to the truth of God Word.
7. Spirit manifestations does not mean one is more spiritual then another.
8. If there is not true Spiritual growth then the manifestation is not of the HOLY SPIRIT
9. is the leader focused more on money then Jesus.
10 Is the leader humble or more deserving then the rest.

When you look in 1st Cor.8 and chapter 9.One can see.Their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their simplicity.For if there be a willing mind,it is accepted according to that a man hath and not according to that he hath not.For I mean not that other men be eased,and ye burdened,But by an equality that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want.That their abundance also may be a supply for your want;That there may be equality.They in chapter 8 gave to help other churches,not to get.Chapter 9 says Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give(without compulson)not grudging,or of necessity for God loves a cheerful giver.These Christians gave freely to the Saints in Jerusalem,not trying to get.So I would say to you give as you are lead by the Holy Spirit,not because some pastor or someone else said you have to give.The blessing come as you are obedient to God not man.The word of faith churches will not help pay the mortgage temporary when you lose your job,or put food on the table,or clothes on children to go to school.I have seen this done in a New testement Church where the Holy Spirit is in Charge, not about a pastor trying to get rich.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous: I believe what you are saying is the truth. It has to be it is written in the Word of God. Now I do have a question. What if being married my spouse does not want to leave a church where they are teaching false doctrine. If I stop going to that church I am afraid I will lose my spouse and I do not want a divorce. That would be a terrible thing to happen. Everyone would suffer a lot. I am almost to the point of just giving up on the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteTo the one who wants to leave a church that they believe is false.But is afraid it will cause a divorce.1st make sure you are the Lord's.There are many scriptures one could go to.Here are a few 1st Cor.11:3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man and the man is the head of a woman,and God is the head of Christ.Man is to love his wife as Christ has loved the church.Man has a responsibility to provide,protect and teach his wife and family the ways of the Lord.Man needs to seek the Lord for the truth concerning the doctrine that they are under.Compare what is taught to the word of God.Then with the leading of the Lord explain the truth to the wife,and do what the Lord tell you to do.Matt.10:32-39Everyone therfore who shall confess etc...36And a man's enemies etc..38 And he who does not take his cross etc..!st Cor.7:10-17 As you read this let the Lord show you what to do and let him take care of the conseguences.To the wife seek the Lord for the truth concerning the doctrine, compare with the word.In a respectful manner share the truth, then do what the Lord tell you. ReplyDeleteI can't understand why anyone capable of reading the Word of God can just follow the teaching of someone who claims to be a little g god. I can't find any where in the Word God that says anything like this. Now some do believe in the next life. I mean at the last resurrection. When Christ Judges the Sheep and the goats all those found to be covered in the Blood of Jesus will have a Glorified Body like Jesus. I do not see any where we will ever be any kind of God . Isn't that what Adam and Eve wanted. Isn't that what got all humans in the position that we needed God to become Human and die on the Cross for all those who would believe? You know Honesty I do thank God everyday or at once in a while that I am not God. There would me a lot of false teacher no longer teaching as they would be deaf and dumb. That is the best I can say about the lot of them
ReplyDeleteTo anonymous the reason they can not read the word and not see the truth and walk in it.Is they are walking as natural man, leaning on their own understanding.1st Cor.2:9 but just as it is written ,"Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard,and which have not entered the heart of man,all that God has prepared for those who love Him."10 For to us God revealed them through the Spirit;for the Spirit searches all things,even the depths of God.As you read the rest of the chapter and see that to Spirit gives understanding as we come to Jesus.John 14:23-26 as we abide in His Word He will abide in us and the Holy Spirit will teach US.It is when He shows you what the word says then you can walk in it.Man can tell you but you can only walk in what the Lord revels to you and He give the POWER.Because of the Covenant relationship with Him and He lives his life in the believer.Not because we confess and confess and confess,nothing but FLESH.We spend time with Jesus and talk with each other.We praise and thank him and ask him that we might know Him more.He speaks and shows us what we need to know to walk with Him each day,and what the work that He has prepared for us to do that day.And to whom we are to share His love with today.Also the one to pray for that they may come to Him to day.And the one to lay hands on that He will heal.AS we wait on Him set at His feet,hear His Voice go when He says to. ReplyDeleteLet let ask is this what you are saying. The when the LORD Jesus Christ calls HE not some preacher will lead and guide us in the way we should walk? That preachers are to help point us to Jesus but we have to find out from Jesus Himself by reading the Word and asking God to tell us what he means to me today? I and I alone with the help of the HOly Spirit am responsible for what I believe what the Word of God is saying to me at the place I am in Christ? I mean I have read that some of us are still a baby only able to have milk of the Word instead of the Meat of the Word. I do remember reading this somewhere in Word. What are you talking about when you say Covenant relationship?

Jesus will do everything that His Word said He would do.On the Covenant relationship,Look at 1st Samuel 18 read about David and Jonathan and then go to 2nd Samuel 9 and what David did for Jonathan's son Mephibosheth. A picture of God's Covenant with us through Jesus Christ.The book of Hebrews explains the New and better Covenant.As you study this ask the Lord first to show you the truth so that you can allow him to live his life in you.IF WE COULD DO IT JESUS WOULD NOT HAVE TO WENT TO THE CROSS,AND DIE FOR OUR SIN.The Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. The one and only perfect sacrifice.That is why when one preaches another Jesus or dies rejecting letting HIM LIVE HIS LIFE IN THEM AND WILL NOT LET THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACH AND GUIDE THEM,HE WILL SAY DEPART FROM ME I NEVER KNEW YOU. ReplyDeleteTo the person who is contemplating leaving the church, but is afraid their spouse might divorce them if they do; WHAT YOU DO IS YOUR DECISION, but if I were in your shoes, I would take my chances with a divorce rather than staying in a cult.
ReplyDeleteToday is the solemn anniversary and remembrance of 9/11 victims and heroes. A group of us were talking last evening and wondering if Joyce is capable of leading her church members in prayer this day, without jumping up and down shouting MONEEEEEEEEE COMETH TO ME" Probably not.

I was listening to Jsm.org last night and Bro Jimmy made a statement the rings true in my ears. He said if we do not have the true understanding of all that Jesus did for us on the cross we will fall for all false doctrine. These are not his exact words but this is what I know he meant. Think about it for a minute. The Word of Faith doctrine is a positive confession and if you profess what ever you profess you will have. Well How my decades do you have to profess them in order to receive them. ( the Blessing of God). As I Read the Word of God I have come to realize that I have it all in Christ Jesus who died for me. When I was baptized I was in his death. I became part with Jesus. I was in his loins just as we all humans were in the loins of Adam which gave us all a sin nature. We being in Christ has given us all that belongs to Christ through His shed Blood. Will we receive it all in this life. Well according to the Word of God we will continue to do the work God has put in your hearts until the Seconding coming of Our Lord and Savior that is only then will we receive the "glorified Body". Matthew 6 says seek first the KINGDOM of God and His Righteousness HE will provide all the rest. Meaning He will be our spiritual clothing and He will show us how to work and earn for our material things needed to sustain life.. It is Called trust, Faith in OUR God. We now longer have to be concerned about what we are to eat drink or wear. He Jesus through His Shed Blood gave us HIS All. The only thing we can give to God our Father is ourselves. Abraham believed God and he ( Abraham was counted righteous) HE just believed. He heard the voice of God telling to Leave all he had known and to follow Him. That is the same that Jesus taught. Leave all you have known and follow me. He never compelled anyone to follow him. However, the Word of Faith teacher command you to follow them as they are following Jesus. We do not need to follow a mere human being when the HOLY SPIRIT has been sent to us the help us in following Jesus. We do this by giving our rights up to the LORD and let HIM tell us what is right in His sight. So when we say according to the Scripture says " The Just live by Faith" this in fact is saying if you trust the Most High God you will allow Him to be the Potter and you will be the clay.. His will not your will.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say that how ever this nation is it will go by the way of the Church. Meaning the Church will be judged first then the nation will follow suit. History repeats itself. We can read in the Word of God how He protected the Children of Israel when they were following His direction by being obedient to His laws. Today we have a much better Covenant with the Most High God through the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ His ONLY Son. This country has denied the one True God by taking God out of the Schools and any mentioning of God in the Courts of the country. Even the fact that the President said we are no longer a Christian Nation bring judgement on this country just as the Word of Faith teachers are claiming they are all little g gods. Who is your God? If we continue to allow godless people no matter how good they claim to be in control of our Churches and our God Given country what will be expect to happen to us. If Did not spare Israel what makes any of us think he will spare us. Something to think about. We all must stand up for the Truth that is in the Word of God. He so Love the World that He sent His Only Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for all sin for all men. Even for the false teachers of His Word if they would repent and turn back to the one true God.
ReplyDeleteJoyce is considered the Messiah? Wasn't David Koresh also considered theM essiah? Wasn't Jim Jones considered the Messiah? I believe the Bible says something to the effect that "others shall come in my name and say they are Lord, do not be fooled" Sounds like the Lord and Savior, Joyce Leiphon, is following what the Bible warns about.
