Money Cometh and Joyce Leiphon, an Opinon from the Internet

Bring Your Tithes and Offerings into the Whorehouse

How could a Prosperity Doctrine make preachers millionaires, and no one question the morality of this doctrine? II Peter 2:3 indicates that because of people's covetousness, false prophets will be able to use feigned words to make merchandise of them.
Friends, you can see what we have in the pulpit in these last days. These are not preachers, but pimps! If you study the nature of a pimp, you can then understand the nature of the false preacher. A pimp is a weak, emaciated, effeminate man who, because of his own weak and perverted nature, has refused to be productive in his own right. Having no work ethic, he lives like a parasite and leach off of women who see themselves as rejected, lonely, and unable to function as whole people in society. Their assurance of his approval is directly linked to their ability to give him more wealth. They work themselves to death in order to bring him material possessions, presenting those things to him as their god.
This is the same spirit in the mind of the harlot church. People are being instructed to bring their tithe to the preacher in order to experience the manifold blessings of God. They are told that by confessing the Bible over their circumstances and chanting Scriptures, they will get a return on what they have sown into these false ministries. Consequently, we have millions of people being robbed while they wait for the multiplication of what was sown at the preacher’s footstool. They are not giving out of the joy of serving a loving God, they give only as some sort of down payment on what they hope will be a substantial monetary return.
If you sit in admiration of these false preachers, you are being taken for the longest ride in the history of the human race. You can see these telecasts all over the world as people run up to the steps of the altar dropping envelopes of money—money as seed faith offerings— so that they can receive back from that god. It is a travesty to watch people fill out checks and sign their names with the statement “Money cometh to me” over their signatures. In this way they give heed to the false doctrines being espoused by Leroy Thompson. In his book entitled, Money Cometh, Thompson states that as our covenant right, money comes to you based on the blood of Jesus acquiring prosperity for us through His death and resurrection.

At minimum, all of this doctrine is stupid! At maximum, it is insane! How many of you reading this book have fallen prey to the filth espoused by these teachers? Even now there may be something rising up in the inner most parts of your being that hates the truth of what I am saying. These ministers feel the same way. In order to protect the deceitfulness of their ways, they hide behind scriptures like “Touch not God’s anointed” or “Do God’s prophets no harm.” If something in you believes that I am judging ‘God’s anointed man for this hour,’ then something in you is bound to the devil. You need to be set free from a spell that was cast on your mind by a sorcerer and a warlock standing in the pulpits and calling themselves ambassadors of Christ. In reality, these men are workers of witchcraft and sorcerers of seduction sent from the devil.
One of the most tragic aspects of this Word of Faith movement is that most of the people involved have no idea about the end times, including the rise to power of the Antichrist to rule the world and the existence of a worldwide delusion and a ‘falling away’ from real Christianity. They are blinded by the very doctrine that claims to set them free. As they vigorously seek things to secure their position in this world, like wealth and prosperity, they lose the desire to end the world and see the Kingdom of God come online. The devil is preaching the world into the church so that they will be programmed to fight with him against God in the final battle. This is the ingenious strategy of a rebellious, fallen angel looking for a way to snuff out the longing of Jesus’ people for His appearing.
The Bible plainly says that Jesus will appear the second time to those who long for him with all of their hearts. He says you’ll find him if you seek for him with all of your heart, soul, mind, and strength. When you long for His appearing, He will manifest to you. Seeking the things of this world eliminates the appetite necessary to bring the revelation of Christ into your life. We are sitting in the midst of the greatest fall away in the history of mankind, and billions of souls worldwide have no idea what is going on. Their own greed, lust, and desire to have the things of this life choke off the Word and it becomes unfruitful to them. One of the things that choke off the word of God and make it unfruitful in your life is the “cares of this world” and what Jesus called “the deceitfulness of riches.”
Through prosperity teachings, you are being led as far away from Christ as the east is from the west. These delusions and false teachings are so evident in the Word of Faith movement that you would have to be almost biblically illiterate to believe them. This is why God says the whole foundation of this movement is built on silly women laden down with all kinds of diverse lusts, ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. The Prosperity market is comprised of people who don’t know or understand the Bible, and since they want “stuff” instead of Jesus, the ministers are able to make a fortune off of their greed and covetousness.
Your material possessions will not get you into heaven. As a matter of fact, Jesus told the rich man that if he were going to be made perfect, he would need to sell everything he owned and follow Him. Jesus knows what is in the heart of men. In most cases, those who possess an abundance of wealth, tend to trust in material things and not in God. How have we now changed the Gospel so that the riches are now seen as a sign-off on us following Christ? This is a no-brainer! It is time for those who desire Christ to wake up, follow him, and leave the false teachings of the Word of Faith alone. If the Lord blesses you financially, He will do it based on your level of maturity and your willingness to go forth and do His will at the expense of your own. God is not into hedonism; He is concerned with saving men’s souls from an eternal destruction. Beloved, please wake up.

  1. Boy this just confirms the Scriptures that has been posted on this blog. I pray those who are following this false teaching will turn from it to the truth that is Jesus Christ and HIM crucified.

Thanks Bill for such great insight into the word of Faith doctrine.

  2. I read somewhere that Joyce Leiphon stated that she got saved in 1974 and started her church in 2005. But then said she had been in ministry for 33 years. Well do the math. If she got saved in 1974 and started her church after 33 years of ministry that would mean she didn't get saved in 1974 or either she is not telling the truth!!! Just checked she has changed her story now. No longer been in ministry for 33 years. Whats up this this preacher? Can't keep her stories straight? has to remove the lies? Does anyone know what the answers to these question?

  3. Yes, I may know the answers to some of your questions. Joyce Leiphon is a sociopath and pathological liar. Her getting saved in 1974 could be correct, and it sounds about right that she may have started her church around 2005, or possibly even a few yrs before that. But her story about being in the ministry for any 33 yrs is a crock of crap. Joyce Leiphon is now approx 60 yrs old, so that would put her as being in the ministry starting at about age 27. She divorced her 4th husband sometime around 1998, give or take, 15 yrs ago, and she was most definitely not in the ministry at that time. She subsequently married and then divorced a 5th husband.

  4. I have to wonder about her divorce from her fourth husband. According to what I understand the bible to says a believer can only get a divorce and remarry only if the spouse was unfaithful. Can anyone tell me when she was ordained a minister? Where did she minister as her website states " in all areas of ministry" all over the United States? Was her fourth husband the one that is disabled? Was he disabled when she divorced him? I have so many unanswered questions about this preacher. I have to ask that if she has been in ministry for 33 years why has she been divorced so many times yet still preaching? Seems to me someone would have asked her to give up her credentials!

  5. oops with site change i missed the 33 years of ministry

  6. We can tell you that we know Joyce's 4th husband very, very, very well, and he was never unfaithful to her; he believes in absolute fidelity in marriage. It is, however, suspected that Joyce was probably unfaithful to him during their marriage; whether this is true or not, who knows? From what we understand she told him that "God spoke to her and told her to divorce him" (She also fed this same line of bullshit to the 5th husband that she divorced) When was she ordained? Not sure exactly, but it is known that she went to seminary not too long after she divorced # 4. That would have been sometime around the late 1990's, so it would have to be sometime after that when she was ordained. That in and of itself catches Joyce Leiphon in another lie and shoots down her story that she has been in the ministry for 33 years. We think that the statement about "traveling the U.S." is probably inflated. It may be true, but highly, highly doubtful. Yes it was her 4th husband who is now horribly disabled; he was not disabled at the time of their divorce. Why is Joyce Leiphon still preaching; how did she get into seminary to begin with? Who knows. Keep in mind that sociopaths can lie and charm their way into anything, so if Leroy saw her as a source of money for him, it probably didn't matter to him if Joyce had divorced 20 husbands!!! As far as her being asked to give up her credentials, it's probably not likely that will happen. But we do believe that she will ultimately bring herself down with her own greed.

  7. Look at that smug phony look on her face on the LOTWC website; looks like the cat that ate the canary; she's clinching her teeth; you can see the devil in her eyes and Satan staring right through you.

  8. I bet somewhere out there are 5 ex-husbands thanking their lucky stars that this looney is out of their lives. PRAISE THE LORD.

  9. There may be some of you who disagree with the beliefs of the Roman Catholic Church and that is certainly your right. But at least stop and think about the new Holy Father who was just chosen - he is kind, humble, cares about the poor, takes the bus, cooks his own meals, washes his own tea cups, and speaks to the cardinals and others in a personal respectable manner, is not showy and does not display an aura of superiority over others. Some of you may be against Catholicism and that is your right - but you can't dispute the fact that the new Pope is a lot more compassionate, kind and humble than what is leading Light of the World Church.

    1. they are one and the same in my Book both are false teachers

  10. Read Revelations 17 both are a part of Babylon the great the mother of harlots and of the abominations of the earth. The pope is worse because He is leading so many that follow him to hell. Also read 1st Cor. 1 the whole chapter. It Is JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED,plus nothing.

  11. Reading via the internet I see most Word of Faith preachers say that Jesus died spiritually. Most who follow Word of Faith do not even realize this is what they believe. However the scripture clearly states Jesus was a sin offering. Lev 4:1-12, again Lev 9:2. these were types of sin offering until Jesus came.
Lev 16:8 The scapegoat Jesus was our scapegoat. He was sinless yet he suffered for our sins just like the goat in this scripture
Hebrews 9:1-28 and Hebrews 13: 8-15 these scripture prove that Jesus Christ was sin free and our sin offering. The sacrifices that were ordered in Lev all pointed to Jesus Christ and HIS SINLESS perfection that could never be accomplished my mere humans and the sacrifice of bulls and goats. Therefore Jesus Christ was the perfect and last sacrifice. The only one that did not have to be performed daily but once for all. The Blood of Jesus Christ paid the Price for all sin once and for all

  12. I would love for everyone, if you are not afraid to do so, instead of writing Money cometh, on youR checks when you give to your god why don't you write "COME LORD JESUS"? Seems to me that would be more scriptural. Now Joyce can stand up on her throne, and say she is not greedy, if she wants, she can say she iS not coveting your goods, all she wants, and like she has told you all the LORD know your hearts. My Lord knows all Things. HE knows the condition of her heart and I am praying for to repent and turn and allow the LORD to heal her. Jesus finished His work on the cross He did not leave Joyce here to command the HOLY Spirit to do anything as I heard her preach today. Shame on you Joyce. Shame on you Again I am asking you to repent from you greed. ask forgiveness before it is to late. " COME LORD JESUS".

  13. I realize Joyce Leiphon can only preach what she is told to preach that will bring in the most money. I am not trying to be mean. But it seems to me if she as states on her Web site she is training those who follow her to know who they are in Christ. Joyce continues to pick just scriptures that makes her sound like knows what she is talking about. But I wonder if she has really turned herself over to the devil by preaching money cometh instead of Christ and him Crucified. When she used the Scripture Col 3:10 I wonder why she didn't read the whole chapter instead of just a part of a thought. The first verse of that Chapter states " If then you were raised with Christ seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting at the right hand of the Father". You should read the rest of it. Clearly we are not to be seeking the wealth of this world but seeking Jesus Christ our Redeemer. It is so sad that so called men and women of god are preaching lies and half truths and so many are falling into their trap all just for the wealth they believe they can have. I wonder if Ms Leiphon truly has ever met the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

  14. I have come to realize with the way Joyce Leiphon preaches she truly believes she is above the HOLY SPIRIT. I mean I heard via the internet in one of preaching sessions that she commanded the Holy Spirit to give life to the dead bones of those who are in her church. Now who in the World would ever even think they could order the HOLY SPIRIT to do anything. If they had the correct understanding of the Gospel of the Jesus Christ and Him Crucified they would be falling on their knees asking forgiveness. I didn't listen to the whole sermon as it was making me ill. I am sure like the rest of the sermons she wanted more money from those who follow her.

  15. I heard a preacher today say that if the LORD speaks something to you it will perfectly line up with the Word of God. Now I think I heard Joyce Leiphon make the statement that there is only a remnant of people that God wants to make rich. I was wondering if anyone knows if I in fact understood her properly. The reason I am asking is it is confusing to me about such a statement when the Bible clearly states that Jesus Christ died for the sin of all men not just a few. Now since I do believe Jesus did die for all men why would he only want a remnant to have the wealth of the world. can anyone help me with this?

  16. Please don't throw all of your money at this pastor thinking it will make YOU rich. Joyce Leiphon is taking advantage of and capitalizing on your incredible stupidity and taking you to the cleaners. You ain't gonna get nothing in return. Wake up!

  17. If your preacher is preaching "Money cometh to me now" is he/she preaching the truth of the word of God or are they preaching the lie. I believe we are to trust the LORD to give us our daily need just as he ask us to Matt 6. The LORD fed the Israelite's coming out of Egypt. I cannot understand how a person who claims to be called of God can preach :Money comth to me now: and still say they are trusting the LORD to take care of them. They are preaching one thing to their followers such as trust in the finished work of Christ yet they themselves do not trust that HE will provide all that they have need of. So while they are telling one to do this or that they are reaping the spoils of their labor out of your pocket by putting you back under the Law that they believe is for you but not them. give and give and give. But where do they give. I have found like in any scheme they give only to those who are in the pulpit. You are making them rich in the world standards while they are robbing you blind. Not just from material wealth but also "spiritual" wealth. The Holy Spirit will tell you the Truth if you Ask. The money preacher cannot tell you the truth as it is written in the Word of God because the truth is not in them. They are denying the truth of the Finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Their trust is in the almighty dollar not Jesus Christ though the preach Jesus and Him crucified. You are not allowed to question them. Jesus tells us to Question all teaching to see if they are the truth. He says test the spirits to see if they be of God. Yes these so called preacher do sound like they are telling you the truth by the fact as I mention above they profess Jesus Christ yet by the fact they need you to give to them and not listen to anyone but their teachings they are denying Jesus Christ. It is about self and the works you do in order to be blessed by God. My God blesses freely all who come to Him and asks. Will our Heavenly Father give you a stone when you ask for bread. What does your preacher give you when you ask for help. Does he/she tell you that your faith is not in the right object. That you must have doubted, Or that you didn't give enough in order for you need to be meet. Oh how long will you follow the lie that is being preached in so many pulpits today. This Country which was founded on the truth of the Word of God is now under Judgement mainly because of the Church being so corrupted by false teaching such as mentioned about among others. Satan has used so called minister to twist the Holy Scripture to infiltrate the church. The preacher who preaches and jumps from one scripture to another out of context of the Written Word of God to prove what the say is true is not preaching the truth. The truth is what each book or chapter theme is and it is not about worldly things. My prayer is Lord forgive them they no not what the do. Lord send someone to show them the error of their way. All those who are following them to see the light as you are the light and have no darkness in them. Allow the truth to set them free. that truth is found only through the Power and Working of YOUR Holy Spirit. I ask this Father in Jesus Name.

  18. Question: "Was Jesus rich/wealthy?"

Answer:As the second person of theTrinity, Jesus is as rich as God is rich. Indeed, our Lord owns everything and possesses all power, authority, sovereignty, glory, honor, and majesty (Isaiah 9:6;Micah 5:2;John 1:1,8:58,10:30,17:5;Colossians 1:15-18,2:9-10;Hebrews 1:3). Yet during the time Jesus was here on earth, He willingly relinquished His eternal riches and most of the privileges of His deity. Becoming poor indeed, our Lord took on the nature of a lowly and humble servant (Zechariah 9:9;2 Corinthians 8:9;Philippians 2:6-8). And by the time our Savior endured the tortures of the cross for us, His earthly possessions amounted to no more than the clothes on His back which were divided up by the soldiers who crucified Him.

Sadly, however, there are many prosperity preachers today who would like you to believe that Jesus was rich while here on earth and that God wants nothing more than to lavish His children with an abundance of material blessings. After all, a rich Jesus would certainly make it easier for them to persuade their flock that God wants them to be rich too. However, a materially rich Jesus Christ is utterly incompatible with biblical truth. Even a cursory examination of the Bible should dispel any notion of our Savior being wealthy in an earthly sense. During His public ministry, Christ and His disciples depended entirely on the hospitality of others as they ministered from town to town (Matthew 10:9-10). As Jesus told a would-be follower “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head” (Luke 9:58).

It is unfortunate, then, that this false teaching about Christ’s wealth and its concomitant “gospel of greed” has gained a foothold in churches today. As Solomon aptly taught, however, “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9), for we can see that Paul addressed similar matters in his own churches: “Watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naïve people” (Romans 16:17-18).
Paul’s terse commentary in his first letter to Timothy regarding those who think godliness is a means to financial gain captures the essence of Christ’s numerous teachings on the dangers that accompany a heart bent on the accumulation of earthly treasure: “People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs” (1 Timothy 6:9-10).
Indeed, the New Testament is filled with lessons where Jesus chides the rich and praises the poor. He taught us to “Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions” (Luke 12:15). And to not store up for ourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal (Matthew 6:19-21). Our Lord, who knows the hearts of men, is aware of the deceitfulness of riches and what a considerable stumbling block wealth can be. The sentiment of Proverb 30:9 which declares “I may have too much and disown you and say ‘who is the LORD’” reverberates through the entirety of God’s Word. Thus, it would be a strange paradox indeed—and one that would certainly dilute the gospel message—if Jesus Christ was a member of the rich class of people who, as He declared, would find it so difficult “to enter the kingdom of Heaven” (Matthew 19:23).

  19. If all the Money cometh to me now Preachers believed what they preached. None of them would be preaching money cometh to me now. They would be telling everyone the same that John the Baptist was preaching which was " REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND". Jesus told us that no one knows when HE will return for His church only the Father knows. Now look at what is going on in the world today doesn't it look like the birth pains have begun? Gold and silver and mansions and nice cars will not get you into the KINGDOM OF GOD.What good is all the wealth of the world if you loose you soul. What is the LOVE of God. The LOVE of God is He sent His only Son to die for all men. And the Wrath of God was poured out on Jesus so that all who believe on Him would have eternal life. What does it mean to Believe on Jesus. It means you have all your trust and all your faith in His finish work on the Cross of Calvary. It means we pick up our cross daily and die daily to ourselves. Allowing the LIFE of Jesus Christ to live through us by the Power of the Holy Spirit. We cannot do this by any work or works ( giving money, helping old ladies across the street washing the Pastors car or mowing their lawns) While all this is good it is not what opens the windows of Heaven and caused God to pour out a blessing on you. The blessing are all in Christ and Him crucified and they are all given to us free of charge. Jesus has already paid for it all.
Now will money and wealth give you eternal life. The devil knows scriptures and he uses men and women who claim to be called of God to preach the Word as though they had the truth behind them. However, Just like the serpent in the Garden they are telling you God want you to be rich. I am telling you if you are truly born again you are RICH even if you are homeless as long as Jesus Christ and HIM Crucified is the Object of you Faith Not money cometh to me now. Repent the KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND.
