So What about Light of the World church and Pastor Joyce Leiphon?
Joyce Leiphon is serving as the senior pastor of her church and is the final authority. This obviously is a contradiction of scripture. She obviously is a great teacher and may or may not have a unique revelation on the prosperity. However, she is not submitted or under the authority of her husband. She and her husband are listed as pre marital counselors in Saint Lucie county. According to legal documents she filed for, and divorced her husband a few years ago. She is obviously not under any ones authority within Light of The World church. She is listed as the President of Light of the World church with the state of Florida. There is no Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer listed as officers of the corporation. There are only two directors listed who are related. This is also a violation of Florida Corporation law. There is obviously no system of checks and balances in this non-profit. One person handles the money and it is the same person that is the president and the pastor, Joyce Leiphon!
No matter how noble her intentions are, no matter what kind of revelation is on the word she is teaching, you can not violate scripture. You will only hurt the people you are trying to help. The only thing believers can do is pray for her and her congregation. Pray that the true light will shine on this and she will repent and set things right according to scripture.

Which husband are you referring to? This pre-marital counselor and pastor has actually divorced 5 husbands.
ReplyDeleteNo she has had four husbands. I am her older sister. Yes I do believer she is teaching false Doctrine. As we have all we need in Jesus Christ. I am praying for her and would love for many others to pray also. She believes what she is teaching. If you truly want to know who you are in Christ ask the HOLY SPIRIT. He is the only teacher. She truly need all our prayers. Malcolm Smith from whom she has a lot of knowledge would have a fit if he know she was using his teaching on knowing who you are in Christ, then steal from the people of God. Joyce has always been in for the dramatic. Still the same old Joyce just repackaged. NOt dead to self as we become as we realize who we are in Christ. Allowing HIM to Live his life through us as our old man dies. We become a new creation IN Christ.
DeleteWhen Joyce divorced Doug, she told him that he was her 4th husband. She subsequently then married and divorced Stanley Leiphon. The way I was taught math in school, that would make 5. Unless she doesn't know how to add, or as you say is in for the dramatic, or just can't keep her stories straight, who knows. But it doesn't matter. Regardless she is teaching false doctrine.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention throwing her own niece out into the street after being verbally abused by her spoiled brat daughter. I lived in her home for a few months, there was NEVER any corners cut to save money on food or anything else. No concerns of being eco friendly or a smart shopper....nothing If Joyce or her grown daughter wanted something no time was wasted in getting it. I was told many times "only the best for the Lord's daughters" And of course I had the money cometh pushed everyday and if I did not give then I was told I was serving the devil. While living in her home, I paid rent, but at the alter "money cometh" After I was thrown out She told members in her church not to speak to me anymore, said I was a child of the devil.....WOW! I am born again and Christ is in me, that doesn't mean I am perfect, no one is perfect. Its bad enough to treat your own family member as she treated me but then to act as if she is better than everyone else is such a crock! She was taught better from her dad, my granddaddy, and our Father in heaven. I pray for this woman and the struggling financially, hurting people in her church all the while she lives in a gated golf course community.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You. I am SO VERY SORRY you were treated that way. Sadly, Joyce has treated many people cruelly over the years, including my own dear parents. It's just the power and control mindset of these fanatics. She may live the high life on this earth but take comfort in knowing that one day she will stand in Judgment before the Lord.

DeleteIt's extremely frightening when a pastor who I am sure calls herself a wonderful good Christian talks this way about others; for example, all this totally off the wall, bizarre talk about a family member serving the devil and calling her a child of the devil. That defies common decency and is just plain crazy. And the fact that she would tell her followers not to talk to this person anymore; that clearly indicates a cult-like control over others. I wonder when her followers are going to wake up.
ReplyDeleteI want to ask all who are reading these post to pray for Joyce. I know sometime it isn't easy to do this. She is in deep trouble and that is the only why to correct the situation. I am praying that she has not crossed the line and that the Holy Spirit will convict her of the error of her ways. that is all I know to do. Since talking to her does not help the situation.
DeleteDid anyone ever find out whether the "pastor" has actually divorced 4 or 5 husbands? Not that it really matters; she's already proven she is not capable of love or staying in a relationship. The story I got from the family was this: when Joyce divorced Doug and kicked him out of the house, she told him he was her 4th husband; that God had spoken to her and told her to divorce him, that she did not need a husband in her life, that she only needed God. She asked that her family not be told that he was # 4, because she did not want them to know how many times she had REALLY been married. Of course, shortly thereafter she married and divorced Leiphon (God also told her to divorce him) Just wondering; doesn't really matter. Anyway you cut it, her sociopathy is shining through.

Joyce has always stayed away from the family as much as possible she didn't want anyone to know what she was doing so I guess she must have been married to someone other her children's father and her first husband. I know for fact she left Mr. Jackson and moved in with Mr walton. so Between Mr Edelen and Jackson she must have married someone else if Doug was her fourth. I though it funny that a mans clothing was hanging in her closet when she had an apt before she an mr Jacskson Married
ReplyDeleteIts really sad that people take the Word of GOD and use it to profit themselves and only themselves. Im familiar with LOTWC and I got outta there in a hurry. Also Not to Judge anyone but the woman has been married 4 times at least and then tries to teach people about relationships LOL. Its a Joke in every facet.

This pastor is the biggest hypocrit who ever drew a breath. How is she qualified to counsel others and tell them how they should live when she herself is meaner than Satan? Cracks us up that she is always referring to the devil and telling everyone else that they are going to hell. She needs to clean her own house before she starts telling everyone else how wicked they are. What a sicko!
